Tom Vialle et Jago Geerts \u00e9taient les favoris annonc\u00e9s cette saison sur le championnat du monde MX2. Le GP de Matterley Basin le week-end pass\u00e9 nous en avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 donn\u00e9 un s\u00e9rieux aper\u00e7u, celui de Valkenswaard ce week-end a confirm\u00e9 si besoin en \u00e9tait que le Fran\u00e7ais et le Belge sont bien les hommes forts de la cat\u00e9gorie pour le moment.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tom Vialle a un fameux atout dans son jeu : l’officiel KTM manque rarement ses d\u00e9parts. Parti devant dans les deux manches cet apr\u00e8s-midi, il a conserv\u00e9 la t\u00eate de la course en premi\u00e8re manche jusqu’\u00e0 3 tours de la fin, le moment o\u00f9 il a d\u00fb c\u00e9der le leadership \u00e0 Jago Geerts, revenu de la 4\u00e8me place. Dans la seconde manche, le jeune Fran\u00e7ais a creus\u00e9 rapidement l’\u00e9cart face \u00e0 Bas Vaessen les premiers tours puis face \u00e0 Mathys Boisram\u00e9 et enfin l’Australien Jed Beaton qui s’est install\u00e9 dans le deuxi\u00e8me fauteuil avant la mi-course pour terminer \u00e0 pr\u00e8s d’une minute de Vialle. Maxime Renaux termine \u00e0 la 3\u00e8me place pour la seconde fois de la journ\u00e9e et place ainsi sa Yamaha sur la deuxi\u00e8me marche du podium hollandais.<\/p>\n

Nathan Renkens prend une belle 13\u00e8me place dans la seconde manche et marque ses premiers points de la saison.<\/p><\/div>\n

Et Jago Geerts ? Le pilote Yamaha a chut\u00e9 au d\u00e9part de la deuxi\u00e8me manche. Reparti bon dernier, il s’est lanc\u00e9 dans une course poursuite qui l’a men\u00e9 jusqu’\u00e0 la 7\u00e8me place, \u00e0 30 secondes \u00e0 peine de la deuxi\u00e8me place de Beaton ! Bref, Jago n’a pas remport\u00e9 le GP de Valkenswaard. Il perd m\u00eame la t\u00eate du championnat qu’il c\u00e8de \u00e0 son rival Tom Vialle. Mais il a montr\u00e9 une fois de plus qu’il est un candidat r\u00e9gulier \u00e0 la victoire, capable de renverser la situation en sortant le grand jeu lorsque c’est n\u00e9cessaire pour sauver de pr\u00e9cieux points. Le Belge monte malgr\u00e9 tout sur la 3\u00e8me marche du podium.<\/p>\n

Cinq points s\u00e9pareront Vialle et Geerts pour arriver en Argentine les 21 et 22 mars sur le 3\u00e8me round du championnat.<\/p>\n

Deux autres Belges ont marqu\u00e9 leurs premiers points de la saison dans le sable hollandais ce dimanche. Cyril Genot a plac\u00e9 sa Yamaha en 16\u00e8me position dans la premi\u00e8re manche tandis que Nathan Renkens a pour sa part pris les points d’une tr\u00e8s belle 13\u00e8me place dans la seconde.<\/p>\n

Notons que le champion d’Europe EMX250 Roan Van De Moosdijk a chut\u00e9 dans la premi\u00e8re manche. Class\u00e9 malgr\u00e9 la douleur en 12\u00e8me position, il est pass\u00e9 par l’infirmerie entre les deux manches et n’a pas pris le d\u00e9part de la deuxi\u00e8me course. Le pilote Kawasaki souffrirait de la cheville.<\/p>\n
