La passion de Mathias Van Hoof pour les deux roues ne se limite pas \u00e0 la moto et \u00e0 l’enduro. Avant de se diriger vers les sp\u00e9ciales du championnat de Belgique d’enduro puis du championnat du monde, le vice-champion de Belgique inter en titre exercait son talent sur les pistes de BMX. La passion du v\u00e9lo est encore bien l\u00e0. Alors, pour se lancer un d\u00e9fi sportif d’envergure dans cette p\u00e9riode plut\u00f4t calme, Mathias partira en solo pour Avignon au d\u00e9part d’Herentals.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ce sont plus de 1100 kilom\u00e8tres \u00e0 v\u00e9lo qui attendent l’enduriste, avec un passage oblig\u00e9 par le Mont Ventoux, dont l’ascension constitue pour de nombreux cyclistes le challenge ultime. \u00ab\u00a0L’id\u00e9e de s’attaquer au Mont Ventoux est venue en discutant avec des amis. Mais c’est un d\u00e9fi que je me lance avant tout pour moi-m\u00eame, je ne veux rien prouver \u00e0 personne\u00a0\u00bb, explique le pilote Husqvarna qui d\u00e9marrera son aventure ce mercredi.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0J’emm\u00e8nerai avec moi le strict n\u00e9cessaire. Mon v\u00e9lo compl\u00e8tement charg\u00e9, \u00e0 l’exception des boissons, p\u00e8se exactement 14 kilos, ce qui n’est finalement que 6 kilos de plus que mon v\u00e9lo, un\u00a0Sensa Giulia Evo, dans sa configurations standard,\u00a0\u00bb poursuit Mathias. \u00ab\u00a0Je suis \u00e9videmment un peu stress\u00e9 \u00e0 l’id\u00e9e d’\u00eatre 6 jours en selle sur mon v\u00e9lo. C’est assez long. Mais je suis bien entra\u00een\u00e9, j’ai pass\u00e9 pas mal de temps et pris beaucoup de plaisir \u00e0 v\u00e9lo ces derniers mois et j’ai \u00e9t\u00e9 scout, j’ai donc appris \u00e0 me d\u00e9brouiller seul !\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Le parcours pr\u00e9sente \u00e9videmment un d\u00e9nivel\u00e9 impressionnant\u00a0\u00bb, ajoute-t-il. \u00ab\u00a0En l’espace de 6 jours, je vais devoir affronter un d\u00e9nivel\u00e9 de quelque 13 290 m\u00e8tres, soit plus de 2000 m\u00e8tres par jour, ce qui est plus que le Mont Ventoux en lui-m\u00eame. C’est un vrai d\u00e9fi personnel car ce sont des conditions auxquelles je ne suis \u00e9videmment pas r\u00e9ellement habitu\u00e9. C’est aussi une mani\u00e8re de rester en forme pour le jour o\u00f9 les GP d’enduro reprendront. Je devais en principe disputer les Six Jours d’enduro cette ann\u00e9e. Ils ont \u00e9t\u00e9 annul\u00e9s. Alors, je serai 6 jours au guidon de mon v\u00e9lo \u00e0 la place !\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
