On attendait Jago Geerts mais c’est Tom Vialle qui s’est impos\u00e9 ce dimanche \u00e0 Lommel. Le leader du classement provisoire MX2 remporte son sixi\u00e8me succ\u00e8s de la saison dans le jardin de son rival. Avec 53 points d’avance au championnat alors qu’il ne reste d\u00e9sormais que 5 \u00e9preuves \u00e0 disputer, le Fran\u00e7ais s’approche \u00e0 grands pas d’un premier titre mondial. <\/strong><\/p>\n

C’est Ben Watson qui a remport\u00e9 la premi\u00e8re manche, le Britannique enlevant au passage la premi\u00e8re manche MX2 de sa carri\u00e8re. Une manche dans laquelle Jago Geerts, pourtant bien parti, est \u00e0 nouveau parti \u00e0 la faute dans le premier tour. Le Belge a perdu l’avant de sa Yamaha et est reparti \u00e0 la 10\u00e8me place. Il reviendra jusqu’en 4\u00e8me position derri\u00e8re Maxime Renaux.<\/p>\n

Auteur des deux holeshots du jour – c’est une habitude-, Tom Vialle joue une nouvelle fois la carte de la r\u00e9gularit\u00e9. L’officiel KTM prend \u00e0 deux reprises la deuxi\u00e8me place et remporte le g\u00e9n\u00e9ral devant Jago Geerts, qui cl\u00f4ture sa journ\u00e9e en beaut\u00e9 avec une victoire dans la deuxi\u00e8me manche. Ce n’est malheureusement pas suffisant pour monter sur la premi\u00e8re marche du podium. Il s’incline pour un petit point face \u00e0 Vialle tandis que Ben Watson (1+5) compl\u00e8te le podium devant Renaux (3+6) et Thomas Kjer Olsen (5+4).<\/p>\n

Pour la petite histoire, on notera qu’un Belge ne s’est plus impos\u00e9 sur un GP de Belgique dans la classe MX2 depuis 2003. C’\u00e9tait alors Stefan Everts, qui disputait alors de front les championnats MX1 et MX2, qui avait remport\u00e9 la cat\u00e9gorie devant Ramon et Bartolini sur le mythique trac\u00e9 de la citadelle de Namur.<\/p>\n

Peut-\u00eatre Jago Geerts mettra-t-il fin \u00e0 cette longue p\u00e9riode d\u00e8s ce mercredi sur le 14\u00e8me round du championnat, \u00e0 nouveau \u00e0 Lommel ?<\/p>\n

Belle performance pour Nathan Renkens<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

C\u00f4t\u00e9 belge, on notera la tr\u00e8s belle prestation de Nathan Renkens. Dix-huiti\u00e8me dans la premi\u00e8re manche, le pilote KTM a pris une superbe 9\u00e8me place dans la seconde pour terminer la journ\u00e9e au 13\u00e8me rang.<\/p>\n

Apr\u00e8s avoir pris les points de la 14\u00e8me place dans la premi\u00e8re course de la journ\u00e9e, Cyril Genot a \u00e9t\u00e9 rapidement contraint \u00e0 l’abandon dans la seconde.<\/p>\n
