Apr\u00e8s deux week-ends \u00ab\u00a0off\u00a0\u00bb, c’\u00e9tait la reprise ce samedi pour les pilotes du championnat de Supercross US avec le premier des 3 rounds pr\u00e9vus \u00e0 Atlanta, en G\u00e9orgie. La 13\u00e8me journ\u00e9e de course de la saison a permis \u00e0 Eli Tomac de remporter son 3\u00e8me succ\u00e8s cette ann\u00e9e en SX450 et au rookie Nate Trasher de s’imposer pour la premi\u00e8re fois de sa carri\u00e8re en SX250.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sur une piste s\u00e8che mais d\u00e9j\u00e0 d\u00e9grad\u00e9e \u00e0 cause des fortes pluies qui se sont abattues sur Atlanta l’apr\u00e8s-midi, Aaron Plessinger signe le holeshot dans la finale 450 et semble en mesure de remporter sa premi\u00e8re victoire dans la cat\u00e9gorie reine puisqu’il prend plus de cinq secondes d’avance sur Cooper Webb. Derri\u00e8re, les poursuivants s’appellent Chase Sexton et Eli Tomac.<\/p>\n

Apr\u00e8s dix minutes de course, soit un peu apr\u00e8s la mi-course, la finale ayant \u00e9t\u00e9 ramen\u00e9e \u00e0 18 minutes seulement, Sexton prend le meilleur Webb dans les whoops et se lance \u00e0 la poursuite de Plessinger. Moins d’une minute plus tard, Plessinger part \u00e0 la faute. Sexton h\u00e9rite de la t\u00eate de la course alors que Tomac a fini par trouver l’ouverture sur Webb.<\/p>\n

Tomac impose alors un rythme tr\u00e8s \u00e9lev\u00e9 et met Sexton sous pression. Il revient \u00e0 moins d’une seconde du pilote Honda. Un doubl\u00e9 g\u00eane ce dernier sur un saut et permet \u00e0 Tomac de s\u00a0\u00bbinstaller en t\u00eate. Le pilote Kawasaki n’a alors plus qu’\u00e0 cueillir sa 3\u00e8me victoire de la saison.<\/p>\n

Si chez Honda on se r\u00e9jouit du premier podium 450 de Chase Sexton, on est moins heureux de la 9\u00e8me place de Ken Roczen. L’Allemand a pris un d\u00e9part en-dehors du top-15 et n’est jamais parvenu \u00e0 trouver le rythme qui lui aurait permis de revenir sur la t\u00eate de la course. Il perd 7 points de plus sur Cooper Webb, troisi\u00e8me ce samedi, et accuse d\u00e9sormais un retard de 22 points sur le pilote KTM au classement provisoire.<\/p>\n

Sur le championnat 250 c\u00f4te ouest, Nate Trasher avait jusqu’\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent une 8\u00e8me place pour meilleur r\u00e9sultat \u00e0 son palmar\u00e8s. Le rookie signe ce samedi son premier succ\u00e8s en s’imposant devant le leader du classement provisoire Justin Cooper et Cameron McAdoo. Hunter Lawrence se contente d’une 7\u00e8me place.<\/p>\n
