En remportant les deux manches du GP de Riola Sardo ce dimanche, Jeffrey Herlings a compl\u00e8tement relanc\u00e9 le championnat MXGP. Arriv\u00e9 en Sardaigne avec 34 points de retard sur le leader Tim Gajser, le Hollandais en repart avec la plaque rouge de leader du classement provisoire. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Depuis l’annonce de la r\u00e9cente blessure de Tim Gajser<\/a>, victime d’une fracture de la clavicule juste avant le week-end dernier lors d’une s\u00e9ance d’entra\u00eenement en croatie et op\u00e9r\u00e9 le lendemain, on savait que ce GP de Riola Sardo, qui marquait l’entr\u00e9e dans la seconde moiti\u00e9 de la saison MXGP, risquait bien de marquer un tournant dans la saison. Cela bien \u00e9t\u00e9 le cas.<\/p>\n

Mais le bouleversement en t\u00eate de la hi\u00e9rarchie provisoire est encore plus profond qu’attendu. La chute d’Antonio Cairoli dans les essais matinaux<\/a> a en effet priv\u00e9 l’Italien de prendre le d\u00e9part du 10\u00e8me round de la saison.<\/p>\n

Sans Cairoli au d\u00e9part et avec un Tim Gajser tr\u00e8s diminu\u00e9, se contentant d’une 19\u00e8me puis d’une 8\u00e8me places dans les manches, la voie \u00e9tait donc libre pour Herlings (lui-m\u00eame bless\u00e9 \u00e0 l’\u00e9paule en juillet dernier dans la premi\u00e8re manche de son GP national \u00e0 Oss<\/a>) qui parvenait par deux fois \u00e0 dominer Jorge Prado et Romain Febvre pour signer le doubl\u00e9 et prendre la t\u00eate du classement provisoire pour un petit point d’avance sur Gajser, d\u00e9sormais second devant Febvre, revenu \u00e0 3 points du champion du monde en titre. Cairoli est quant \u00e0 lui \u00e0 pr\u00e9sent \u00e0 45 points d’Herlings.<\/p>\n

Bref, c’est avec des compteurs pratiquement remis \u00e0 z\u00e9ro pour Herlings, Gajser et Febvre que la lutte pour le titre MXGP 2021 se poursuivra le 3 octobre prochain \u00e0 Teutschenthal, en Allemagne.<\/p>\n

C\u00f4t\u00e9 belge, c’est Brent Van Doninck, qui sera la semaine prochaine au d\u00e9part du Motocross des Nations \u00e0 Mantova, qui signe la meilleure performance. Le pilote Yamaha se classe 14\u00e8me du GP.<\/p>\n
