Pour la premi\u00e8re fois de la saison, Romain Febvre roulait ce dimanche \u00e0 Mantova avec la plaque rouge. Le nouveau leader du championnat abordait le sprint final d’une longue saison avec une pression maximale puisque il avait derri\u00e8re lui, en 3 points seulement, Tim Gajser et Jeffrey Herlings. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Autant dire que tout \u00e9tait possible. Et le pilote Kawasaki, qui semble insensible \u00e0 la pression, a n\u00e9goci\u00e9 cet avant-dernier round de la saison avec brio puisqu’il conserve sa plaque rouge pour arriver sur la finale mercredi. Herlings est toujours \u00e0 3 points mais Gajser a d\u00fb laisser le duo lui prendre une quinzaine de points d’avance apr\u00e8s avoir re\u00e7u une p\u00e9nalit\u00e9 apr\u00e8s une sortie de piste en premi\u00e8re manche.

\u00ab\u00a0C’\u00e9tait d\u00e9finitivement une belle victoire pour moi en premi\u00e8re manche\u00a0\u00bb, se r\u00e9jouit Febvre en faisant allusion \u00e0 une des manches les plus disput\u00e9es de la saison au terme de laquelle le Fran\u00e7ais a triomph\u00e9 devant ses deux rivaux dans la course au titre. \u00ab\u00a0Je me sentais bien sur la piste de Mantova ce dimanche, m\u00eame si elle est assez pi\u00e9geuse \u00e0 certains endroits. En premi\u00e8re manche, j’ai vite pris les commandes de la course mais j’ai eu un passage plus difficile \u00e0 mi-course, avant de pouvoir reprendre le dessus en fin de manche. C’\u00e9tait une course vraiment difficile.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Dans la seconde, je n’ai pas voulu prendre de risque en passant Prado et j’ai perdu du temps sur Jeffrey. J’ai ensuite r\u00e9alis\u00e9 quelques tours rapides pour refaire mon retard mais il restait encore 3 ou 4 secondes \u00e0 combler et j’ai pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9 assurer la seconde position et conserver ma plaque rouge pour la finale.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

Sous pression Romain Febvre ? Le pilote Kawasaki s’en d\u00e9fend. \u00ab\u00a0Cela peut para\u00eetre \u00e9trange mais je ne ressens aucune pression. Je parviens \u00e0 prendre d’excellents d\u00e9parts ici dans le sable avec ma KX450-SR et je suis donc confiant pour mecredi.
