Hier, sur le renomm\u00e9 circuit de Budds Creek, dans l’\u00e9tat du Maryland, en 450, c’est l’Australien Chad Reed qui a remport\u00e9 la victoire devant ses deux rivaux les plus s\u00e9rieux, Ryan Villopoto et Ryan Dungey. Le v\u00e9t\u00e9ran Kevin Windham \u00e9choue au pied du podium. Gr\u00e0\u00a2ce \u00e0\u00a0 cette victoire et alors qu’on est au tiers du championnat, Reed porte son avance sur Villopoto \u00e0\u00a0 quinze points. En 250, Tyla Rattray l’ emport\u00e9 devant Dean Wilson et Justin Barcia, Eli Tomac figurant en quatri\u00e8me position. Au provisoire, Tyla Rattray compte quatre points d’avance sur Dean Wilson.<\/p>\n

Motocross 450<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chad Reed s’est offert le holeshot dans la premi\u00e8re manche mais il s’est vite fait d\u00e9passer par Mike Alessi et sa KTM 450 SX-F.<\/p>\n

Villopoto n’h\u00e9sitait pas \u00e0\u00a0 d\u00e9passer Reed \u00e0\u00a0 son tour et on voyait qu’il \u00e9tait plus qu’\u00e0\u00a0 l’aise sur ce circuit sur lequel il avait \u00e9t\u00e9 champion du monde individuel lors du Motocross des Nations en 2007. Tellement \u00e0\u00a0 l’aise qu’on crut longtemps que personne n’arriverait \u00e0\u00a0 battre Villopoto sur ces collines abruptes et ces grands sauts.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Au quatri\u00e8me tour, Ryan Dungey d\u00e9passait Reed sur un triple situ\u00e9 au sommet d’une colline et malgr\u00e9 la perte de tous ses tear-offs, il d\u00e9passait Alessi dans le tour suivant et s’\u00e9lan\u00e7ait \u00e0\u00a0 la poursuite de Villopoto.<\/p>\n

Tommy Hahn \u00e9tait remont\u00e9 \u00e0\u00a0 la cinqui\u00e8me place et il roulait deux secondes plus vite qu’Alessi mais lorsqu’il revint sur celui-ci, il\u00a0accrocha son garde-boue arri\u00e8re et chuta lourdement pour abandonner en se tenant l’estomac de ses deux mains et en pensant avoir des c\u00f4tes bris\u00e9es.<\/p>\n

A mi-course, Villopoto avait encore dix secondes d’avance lorsqu’il perdit tout son avantage en calant son moteur\u00a0dans un virage. Tout b\u00e9n\u00e9fice pour Dungey qui remit les gaz en voyant la Kawa en difficult\u00e9. Dungey aurait d’ailleurs pu esp\u00e9rer d\u00e9passer Villopoto si un pilote attard\u00e9 ne l’avait g\u00ean\u00e9 dans sa man\u00c5\u201cuvre. Villopoto remportait donc sa dixi\u00e8me victoire de manche cons\u00e9cutive \u00e0\u00a0 Budds Creek.<\/p>\n

Si Dungey terminait second, Reed terminait quant \u00e0\u00a0 lui troisi\u00e8me tr\u00e8s relax, examinant bien \u00e0\u00a0 l’aise les trajectoires dans l’optique de la seconde manche.<\/p>\n

En seconde manche, Mike Alessi prenait \u00e0\u00a0 nouveau les commandes en d\u00e9but de course pour les abandonner \u00e0\u00a0 Reed dans le cinqui\u00e8me tour. Les deux pilotes allaient garder leur position jusqu’\u00e0\u00a0 la fin malgr\u00e9 des tentatives de d\u00e9passement infructueuses de Ryan Dungey. Cette victoire permettait \u00e0\u00a0 Reed de regagner les points perdus dans la premi\u00e8re manche.<\/p>\n

Alessi s’est battu avec Villopoto durant trois tours mais il a d\u00e0\u00bb laisser passer celui-ci avant de se faire d\u00e9passer par Windham, ce qui le renvoyait en cinqui\u00e8me position.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Je me sentais bien aujourd’hui,\u00a0\u00bb d\u00e9clarait Villopoto apr\u00e8s avoir perdu la premi\u00e8re manche de sa carri\u00e8re \u00e0\u00a0 Budds Creek. \u00ab\u00a0J’aurais simplement d\u00e0\u00bb prendre de meilleures trajectoires en seconde manche. Dans l’ensemble, cela toutefois \u00e9t\u00e9 une bonne journ\u00e9e et il reste pas mal d’\u00e9preuves \u00e0\u00a0 disputer cette saison.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

Pour Reed, celui-ci voit son avance sur Ryan Villopoto monter \u00e0\u00a0 quinze points tandis que Dungey compte un retard de vingt-huit points sur Reed alors que nous avons franchi\u00a0le tiers du championnat.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

250<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dean Wilson, qui \u00e9tait arriv\u00e9 \u00e0\u00a0 Budds Creek avec deux points de retard au classement provisoire, a remport\u00e9 la premi\u00e8re manche en 250 devant son co\u00e9quipier Tyla Rattray. C’est toutefois Eli Tomac et sa Honda qui \u00e9taient les plus rapides au niveau des chronos mais cela ne suffisait pas \u00e0\u00a0 les placer en t\u00eate de la course mais \u00e0\u00a0 gagner une place afin d’occuper la cinqui\u00e8me position. Broc Tickle terminait troisi\u00e8me, permettant ainsi \u00e0\u00a0 Kawasaki d’occuper toutes les marches du podium. On notera que Blake Baggett, troisi\u00e8me au classement provisoire, n’a pu faire mieux que septi\u00e8me.<\/p>\n

En seconde manche, C’est Rattray qui reprenait sa premi\u00e8re place au classement provisoire en l’emportant devant les deux Honda de Barcia et de Tomac tandis que Blake Baggett ne pouvait \u00e0\u00a0 nouveau faire mieux qu’une septi\u00e8me place.<\/p>\n
