Honda c\u00e9l\u00e9brait le week-end dernier le 50\u00e8me anniversaire de son implication en motocross. L’occasion pour le constructeur japonais de d\u00e9voiler la nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de sa 450 CR-F, dont une version sp\u00e9ciale comm\u00e9morant la 250 Elsinore<\/a>, premier mod\u00e8le cross embl\u00e9matique des Rouges. Pour que la f\u00eate soit totale, les pilotes HRC ont domin\u00e9 l’ouverture du championnat outdoor US \u00e0 Pala en prenant les deux premi\u00e8res marches du podium tant en 250cc que dans la cat\u00e9gorie reine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Wow, quel week-end incroyable !\u00a0\u00bb, s’exclame Lars Lindstrom, team manager chez Honda. \u00ab\u00a0Je pensais que quelqu’un allait finir par me r\u00e9veiller et interrompre mon r\u00eave. On n’aurait pas pu faire mieux. En 450cc, Chase et Kenny ont \u00e9t\u00e9 incroyables en rel\u00e9guant tout le monde \u00e0 30 secondes. Cela n’arrive pas par hasard. On s’est pr\u00e9par\u00e9 du mieux qu’on pouvait apr\u00e8s la saison de Supercross et aujourd’hui nous avions quatre des hommes les plus en forme sur la piste ainsi que des machines vraiment impressionnantes. Sans oublier le look 80’s qu’elles avait rev\u00eatu pour c\u00e9l\u00e9brer notre 50\u00e8me anniversaire en motocross. Rick Johnson, Johnny O\u2019Mara, Gary Jones, Steve Lamson ou encore Jeremy McGrath ont construit la l\u00e9gende Honda et \u00e9taient avec nous ce week-end pour rendre l’\u00e9v\u00e9nement de Pala vraiment tr\u00e8s sp\u00e9cial pour nous.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

Un enthousiasme que l’on retrouvait \u00e9videmment chez Chase Sexton, double vainqueur du jour en 450cc. \u00ab\u00a0Cette journ\u00e9e ressemble \u00e0 un r\u00eave pour moi\u00a0\u00bb, commente-t-il. \u00ab\u00a0Kenny et moi avions clairement un autre niveau que le reste du peloton aujourd’hui, c’\u00e9tait g\u00e9nial. Tout le team a travaill\u00e9 dur pour arriver aff\u00fbt\u00e9 sur le championnat et j’ai l’impression qu’on a fait du bon travail. C’\u00e9tait mon premier doubl\u00e9 et je suis vraiment impatient de vivre la suite de ce championnat \u00e0 pr\u00e9sent !\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Le circuit \u00e9tait tr\u00e8s exigeant aujourd’hui\u00a0\u00bb, explique pour sa part Ken Roczen, \u00ab\u00a0et Chase \u00e9tait tr\u00e8s rapide et je suis heureux de terminer \u00e0 ses c\u00f4t\u00e9s sur le podium, sans aucun incident qui plus est. Je me suis battu jusqu’au bout, j’avais de bonnes trajectoires et j’ai montr\u00e9 une bonne vitesse de pointe, c’est le plus important pour moi\u00a0\u00bb, ajoute encore celui qui avait d\u00fb cet hiver interrompre sa saison Supercross apr\u00e8s une s\u00e9rie de r\u00e9sultats d\u00e9cevants avant de conclure : \u00ab\u00a0Je suis fier de voir ces Honda \u00ab\u00a0r\u00e9tro\u00a0\u00bb sur le podium dans les deux cat\u00e9gories. Le team Honda a fait du beau travail ce week-end, c’est certain. Merci \u00e0 tous !\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n
