Dans la chaleur de Thunder Valley, Ken Roczen a remport\u00e9 ce week-end la 3\u00e8me \u00e9preuve comptant pour le championnat US de motocross. L’Allemand s’est impos\u00e9 devant Eli Tomac et son co\u00e9quipier chez Honda HRC Chase Sexton, toujours leader du classement provisoire.<\/strong><\/p>\n

C’est Antonio Cairoli qui part en t\u00eate de la premi\u00e8re manche 450. Mais l’Italien ne peut r\u00e9sister longtemps \u00e0 Ken Roczen, parti juste derri\u00e8re lui, puis subira un peu plus tard une attaque imparable de Justin Barcia, suivi par Anderson… Cairoli glisse jusqu’en 5\u00e8me position sous le drapeau \u00e0 damiers.<\/p>\n

Devant, port\u00e9 par le public, Eli Tomac se d\u00e9barrasse d’Anderson pour la seconde place puis fond sur Roczen, qui s’\u00e9tait pourtant construit un bel avantage, pour passer l’Allemand en fin de manche et s’envoler vers la victoire.<\/p>\n

Antonio Cairoli signe \u00e0 nouveau le holeshot (son 3\u00e8me cons\u00e9cutif !) en 2\u00e8me manche. Une fois encore, Ken Roczen n’attend pas et prend le lead de la course alors qu’Anderson met beaucoup de pression sur Cairoli pour la deuxi\u00e8me place. Anderson chute et ce sont alors Tomac et Sexton qui s’installent \u00e0 la poursuite de Roczen. Sexton pousse fort et parvient \u00e0 effacer l’\u00e9cart qui le s\u00e9pare de son co\u00e9quipier puis \u00e0 prendre l’avantage.<\/p>\n

Roczen est ensuite mis sous pression par Tomac, qui est \u00e0 ce moment le pilote le plus rapide en piste. Mais le pilote Yamaha a beau tout essayer, Roczen r\u00e9siste, ferme toutes les portes. Devant, Sexton semble avoir course gagn\u00e9e. Mais \u00e0 quelques virages de l’arriv\u00e9e, le pilote Honda fait une petite faute. Il chute, repart tr\u00e8s vite mais c’est suffisant pour permettre \u00e0 Roczen de passer et de lui voler in extremis la victoire. Tomac est 3\u00e8me, Cairoli 4\u00e8me.<\/p>\n

Une victoire de manche offerte sur un plateau pour Roczen qui lui permet de s’imposer au g\u00e9n\u00e9ral et de remporter ainsi son premier succ\u00e8s outdoor de la saison. Il s’agit aussi de sa premi\u00e8re victoire depuis celle sur l’ouverture de la saison SX, en janvier dernier \u00e0 Anaheim.<\/p>\n

Au classement provisoire 450, Chase Sexton, qui n’est pas encore descendu du podium cette saison, reste en t\u00eate et conserve un avantage de 5 points sur son co\u00e9quipier Roczen.<\/p>\n

Troisi\u00e8me succ\u00e8s pour Jett Lawrence en 250<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jett Lawrence n’a pas gagn\u00e9 de manche \u00e0 Thunder Valley. Le leader du classement provisoire MX250 s’est d’abord inclin\u00e9 face \u00e0 Levi Kitchen (1+5) avant de terminer la seconde manche derri\u00e8re son fr\u00e8re Hunter (4+1) mais sa r\u00e9gularit\u00e9 lui permet de s’offrir son 3\u00e8me succ\u00e8s cons\u00e9cutif cette saison.<\/p>\n

Les fr\u00e8res Lawrence m\u00e8nent la danse au classement provisoire 250, Jett menant avec 12 points de plus que son fr\u00e8re ain\u00e9 alors que Jo Shimoda, 3\u00e8me, suit \u00e0 26 points.<\/p>\n
