Pour sa deuxi\u00e8me participation au Motocross des Nations, Liam Everts a termin\u00e9 douzi\u00e8me puis 14\u00e8me de ses deux manches. Loin de d\u00e9m\u00e9riter, le pilote KTM reconna\u00eet cependant que RedBud n’a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 sa meilleure course de la saison. Coupl\u00e9e \u00e0 celle de Jago Geerts et de Jeremy Van Horebeek, elle a cependant permis \u00e0 la Belgique d’accrocher un top-5 dans ce MX des Nations au niveau particuli\u00e8rement \u00e9lev\u00e9 cette ann\u00e9e.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Ce n’\u00e9tait clairement pas le meilleur week-end de la saison pour moi, disons-le\u00a0\u00bb, entame Everts. \u00ab\u00a0Samedi, le circuit \u00e9tait un peu rapide \u00e0 mon go\u00fbt alors qu’il \u00e9tait beaucoup plus lent dimanche \u00e0 cause de la pluie qui a persist\u00e9 toute la journ\u00e9e. Mais bon, il n’y a pas d’excuse \u00e0 chercher. Ce n’\u00e9tait tout simplement pas ma journ\u00e9e, un point c’est tout. Durant les qualifications, j’\u00e9tais nerveux. Dimanche, j’ai rat\u00e9 mes d\u00e9parts. En parlant de mes r\u00e9sultats, avec une douzi\u00e8me puis une quatorzi\u00e8me places dans les manches, m\u00eame avec une remont\u00e9e depuis la derni\u00e8re place en seconde manche, je ne peux clairement pas les consid\u00e9rer comme un succ\u00e8s.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

S’il reste mod\u00e9r\u00e9 et tr\u00e8s lucide sur sa propre performance, Liam Everts ne manque pas de rester admiratif face \u00e0 celle de son co\u00e9quipier Jago Geerts. \u00ab\u00a0Jago a clairement provoqu\u00e9 l’un des moments forts du week-end \u00e0 RedBud. Remporter la qualif puis terminer loin devant dimanche en premi\u00e8re manche avec la superstar US Eli Tomac qui est actuellement au top de sa forme, c’\u00e9tait tout simplement \u00e9norme. N’oublions pas que Jago n’avait pas vraiment d’exp\u00e9rience au guidon d’une 450.
