Apr\u00e8s les manches qualificatives et une finale B, il ne restait plus que seize \u00e9quipes en lice pour l&rsquo;attribution du titre mondial.<\/p>\n<p>Lors de la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie d&rsquo;ouverture, le team manager de l&rsquo;\u00e9quipe de France, Jean-Jacques Bruno, avait rendu le troph\u00e9e remport\u00e9 par la France l&rsquo;an dernier \u00e0\u00a0 Cahors mais il n&rsquo;a fallu que trois manches pour que l&rsquo;\u00e9quipe de France, compos\u00e9e de Thomas Chareyre, de Sylvain Bidart et de Boris Chambon ne reprenne possession de son bien. Les Fran\u00e7ais \u00e9taient accompagn\u00e9s sur le podium par les \u00e9tonnants Britanniques et les attendus Finlandais. Les Italiens, quant \u00e0\u00a0 eux, devaient rester au pied du podium.
