La 12\u00e8me \u00e9tape du Dakar disput\u00e9e ce vendredi n’a comme pr\u00e9vu pas apport\u00e9 de changement au classement de l’\u00e9preuve.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Vainqueur de l’\u00e9dition 2023 du Dakar, l’Argentin Kevin Benavides s’impose sur cette derni\u00e8re \u00e9tape. Mais cela ne changera rien pour l’officiel KTM qui \u00e9choue au pied du podium.<\/p>\n

Sur la plus haute marche, c’est Ricky Brabec qui triomphe au terme d’un rallye g\u00e9r\u00e9 de main de ma\u00eetre par l’Am\u00e9ricain. Plut\u00f4t discret dans les premi\u00e8res \u00e9tapes mais toujours bien plac\u00e9, il a attendu la seconde semaine pour remporter une \u00e9tape et s’installer en t\u00eate du classement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral. Un leadership qu’il ne l\u00e2chera plus, malgr\u00e9 la solidit\u00e9 de celui qui a men\u00e9 le d\u00e9but du rallye au guidon de sa machine de la marque indienne Hero. L’enthousiaste Botswanais Ross Branch se contente de la seconde marche du podium en devan\u00e7ant Adrien Van Beveren, lui aussi auteur d’un bon Dakar et qui place donc une deuxi\u00e8me Honda dans le top-3 du 46\u00e8me Dakar.<\/p>\n

Pour Brabec, cette victoire marque le second succ\u00e8s de l’Am\u00e9ricain sur le Dakar, quatre ans apr\u00e8s un triomphe historique qui mettait fin en 2020 \u00e0 18 ann\u00e9es de domination du rallye par KTM. Honda renouait \u00e9galement avec la victoire, 30 ans apr\u00e8s son dernier succ\u00e8s sur le rallye.<\/p>\n

Troisi\u00e8me participation au Dakar pour J\u00e9r\u00f4me Martiny cette ann\u00e9e. En se lan\u00e7ant le d\u00e9fi de la cat\u00e9gorie \u00ab\u00a0malle-moto\u00a0\u00bb, le pilote Anquety Motorsports n’avait clairement pas fait le choix de la facilit\u00e9. Et pourtant, notre compatriote a sign\u00e9 son plus beau Dakar cette ann\u00e9e. Il termine \u00e0 une tr\u00e8s belle 25\u00e8me place apr\u00e8s avoir fait preuve d’une grande maturit\u00e9 dans la gestion de la course, de la navigation mais aussi de la m\u00e9canique puisque, rappelons-le, la cat\u00e9gorie \u00ab\u00a0malle-moto\u00a0\u00bb impose au pilote d’assurer lui-m\u00eame la maintenance de sa machine.<\/p>\n

Deux autres Belges sont \u00e0 l’arriv\u00e9e: Van Dyck est 52\u00e8me, Saeys 62\u00e8me. Bravo \u00e0 eux !<\/p>\n
