Arriv\u00e9 en Allemagne samedi matin avec 29 points de retard sur le leader du classement provisoire MXGP, Romain Febvre en repart avec un \u00e9cart de 75 points par rapport au nouveau d\u00e9tenteur de la plaque rouge Jorge Prado.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bless\u00e9 au pouce lors des essais du GP de France il y a deux semaines, Febvre avait sauv\u00e9 les meubles de fa\u00e7on assez inattendue face \u00e0 son public. Dans des conditions boueuses qui rendaient la piste de Saint-Jean-d’Ang\u00e9ly tr\u00e8s technique mais aussi moins rapide et donc moins \u00e9prouvante pour son pouce douloureux, l’officiel Kawasaki avait remport\u00e9 la manche qualificative apr\u00e8s avoir h\u00e9sit\u00e9 \u00e0 en prendre le d\u00e9part tant la douleur \u00e9tait forte. Le lendemain, dans des conditions similaires, il remportait m\u00eame le GP avant de se voir d\u00e9poss\u00e9der de son succ\u00e8s apr\u00e8s le podium \u00e0 cause d’une p\u00e9nalit\u00e9 inflig\u00e9e par la direction de course \u00e0 Jeremy Seewer et Kevin Horgmo, ce qui offrait in extremis la victoire du GP \u00e0 Tim Gajser.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Apr\u00e8s le GP de France, j’ai pris une semaine de repos pour permettre \u00e0 mon pouce de r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer\u00a0\u00bb, explique Febvre. \u00ab\u00a0J’ai limit\u00e9 ma pr\u00e9paration \u00e0 un simple entra\u00eenement physique mais je ne suis pas mont\u00e9 sur la moto. J’ai tent\u00e9 de rouler cette semaine mais c’\u00e9tait tellement douloureux que j’ai d\u00fb arr\u00eater apr\u00e8s 20 minutes \u00e0 peine.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

Un manque de pr\u00e9paration qui n’a malgr\u00e9 tout pas emp\u00each\u00e9 le pilote fran\u00e7ais de prendre la 3\u00e8me place samedi dans la manche qualificative du GP d’Allemagne. Inesp\u00e9r\u00e9. \u00ab\u00a0Je ne sais pas comment expliquer ce r\u00e9sultat\u00a0\u00bb, commentait-il samedi soir. \u00ab\u00a0J’avais vraiment mal durant les essais, je ne parvenais pas \u00e0 trouver la confiance ni la vitesse n\u00e9cessaires. J’\u00e9tais donc mal plac\u00e9 sur la grille mais je suis parti dans le top-10 et j’ai pu ensuite effectuer pas mal de d\u00e9passements. Ce fut compliqu\u00e9 mais j’ai fait tout ce que je pouvais pour sauver des points.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

H\u00e9las, Febvre n’a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 en mesure de r\u00e9\u00e9diter l’exploit le lendemain. La douleur le contraindra \u00e0 se retirer du GP quelques minutes \u00e0 peine apr\u00e8s le d\u00e9part de la premi\u00e8re manche. Un score vierge qui l’\u00e9loigne de la course au titre. \u00ab\u00a0C’est une grande d\u00e9ception pour l’\u00e9quipe Kawasaki\u00a0\u00bb, explique le manager Antti Pyrh\u00f6nen, \u00ab\u00a0mais Romain a fait tout ce qu’il a pu. Ses prestations en France et ce samedi en qualification ont prouv\u00e9 \u00e0 quel point il est d\u00e9termin\u00e9. Mais il y a des limites \u00e0 tout. Ce dimanche, la douleur \u00e9tait tout simplement trop forte.
