Une semaine apr\u00e8s sa victoire en Allemagne, le jeune Fran\u00e7ais Mano Faure a confirm\u00e9 sa forme \u00e9clatante en s\u2019imposant au classement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de l\u2019EMX125 en Lettonie, \u00e0 l\u2019occasion de la neuvi\u00e8me manche du championnat europ\u00e9en. Le pilote Yamaha a parfaitement n\u00e9goci\u00e9 les deux manches sur le circuit sablonneux de Kegums.<\/p>\n

Lors de la premi\u00e8re course, disput\u00e9e dans des conditions id\u00e9ales, Faure a rapidement pris la t\u00eate apr\u00e8s un d\u00e9part en quatri\u00e8me position. Cependant, deux chutes en fin de manche l\u2019ont rel\u00e9gu\u00e9 \u00e0 la deuxi\u00e8me place \u00e0 l\u2019arriv\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

La deuxi\u00e8me course, rendue beaucoup plus technique par la pluie tomb\u00e9e dans la nuit, a mis les pilotes \u00e0 rude \u00e9preuve. Faure a su \u00e9viter les erreurs sur une piste pi\u00e9geuse : il a pris les commandes d\u00e8s le premier tour pour s\u2019imposer avec pr\u00e8s de 11 secondes d\u2019avance. Ce succ\u00e8s lui permet de d\u00e9crocher une nouvelle victoire au g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, un r\u00e9sultat qu\u2019il a f\u00eat\u00e9 en m\u00eame temps que son 16e anniversaire. Faure reste deuxi\u00e8me du championnat \u00e0 trois \u00e9preuves de la fin.<\/p>\n

Septi\u00e8me \u00e0 deux reprises dans les manches, Douwe Van Mechgelen rentre dans le top-5 alors que\u00a0Jarne Bervoets, de retour apr\u00e8s deux manches manqu\u00e9es pour blessure (pouce), il a montr\u00e9 qu\u2019il n\u2019avait rien perdu de sa vitesse. Cinqui\u00e8me dans la premi\u00e8re manche, il a connu une course plus difficile en seconde (14e), terminant neuvi\u00e8me au classement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral du week-end. Il reste 12e du championnat EMX125, juste devant Van Mechgelen.<\/p>\n

Ian Ampoorter marque \u00e9galement de bons points en Lettonie puisque notre compatriote y prend une belle 11\u00e8me place au g\u00e9n\u00e9ral.<\/p>\n
