Enfin un Belge victorieux \u00e0 domicile en MXGP ! Pour la premi\u00e8re fois depuis 2016, un pilote belge a remport\u00e9 son Grand Prix national dans la cat\u00e9gorie reine du motocross mondial. \u00c0 seulement 18 ans, Lucas Coenen (Red Bull KTM) a sign\u00e9 une victoire \u00e9clatante avec une 2e place dans la premi\u00e8re manche et un succ\u00e8s dans la seconde, s’offrant ainsi son 5e GP de la saison et une place de h\u00e9ros pour le public de Lommel.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Malgr\u00e9 une tentative manqu\u00e9e d’imiter le tripl\u00e9 de son ex-co\u00e9quipier Kay de Wolf (MX2), Coenen repart de Lommel avec 57 points et une excellente op\u00e9ration au championnat. Il revient \u00e0 9 petits points de Romain Febvre, toujours leader. Le Fran\u00e7ais, d\u00e9j\u00e0 double vainqueur \u00e0 Lommel, termine 2e du jour (1-2) avec son habituel sang-froid.<\/p>\n

Calvin Vlaanderen, constant avec une 3e et une 5e place, grimpe sur son deuxi\u00e8me podium de la saison.<\/p>\n

Manche 1 : Duel \u00e9pique Febvre vs Coenen<\/strong><\/p>\n

D\u00e8s le d\u00e9part, Febvre prenait l’avantage avec un holeshot ma\u00eetris\u00e9, suivi de Gifting, Herlings, Van Doninck et Geerts. Coenen, enferm\u00e9 par plusieurs pilotes devant lui au premier virage, pointait seulement 9e.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Mais rapidement, le pilote belge remontait dans le peloton : en quelques tours, il \u00e9liminait Gifting et Herlings pour se hisser 2e. Herlings chutait ensuite et r\u00e9trogradait \u00e0 la 8e place. Tandis que Jago Geerts chutait s\u00e9v\u00e8rement au 9e tour, Vlaanderen grimpait de la 6e \u00e0 la 3e position avec sa r\u00e9gularit\u00e9 habituelle.<\/p>\n

Le moment fort de la manche restait le duel au sommet entre Febvre et Coenen. Le Belge r\u00e9ussit \u00e0 le passer bri\u00e8vement sur un saut audacieux, mais Febvre r\u00e9pliqua aussit\u00f4t avec autorit\u00e9. Malgr\u00e9 une attaque finale en mode \u00ab\u00a0tout ou rien\u00a0\u00bb, Lucas dut s\u2019incliner face \u00e0 l\u2019exp\u00e9rience du Fran\u00e7ais.<\/p>\n

Manche 2 : Coenen triomphe<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jago Geerts, bless\u00e9 lors de la premi\u00e8re manche, ne repartait pas. Jeffrey Herlings, quant \u00e0 lui, surprenait tout le monde avec sa premi\u00e8re holeshot depuis octobre 2021 ! Febvre et Gifting suivaient, mais ce dernier chutait rapidement.<\/p>\n

Herlings r\u00e9sistait un moment en t\u00eate, mais son retour de blessure se faisait sentir : il chutait plusieurs fois, terminant finalement 8e avec courage. Pendant ce temps, Coenen se frayait un chemin depuis le milieu du peloton pour remonter jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la 3e place d\u00e8s le 2e tour, avant d\u2019attaquer Febvre dans le 9e tour avec une man\u0153uvre spectaculaire qui faisait exploser les tribunes de joie.<\/p>\n

Lucas Coenen s\u2019envolait vers la victoire, c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9e avec ferveur par le public belge dans les derniers hectom\u00e8tres.<\/p>\n

Andrea Bonacorsi, bien parti, assurait une belle 3e place, devant Coldenhoff et Vlaanderen. Gifting, revenu apr\u00e8s sa chute, terminait 6e du GP avec une 4-9.<\/p>\n
