S’il n’est pas parvenu \u00e0 contrer un Lucas Coenen survolt\u00e9 dans le sable limbourgeois, Romain Febvre a toutefois livr\u00e9 une prestation de haut vol ce dimanche \u00e0 Lommel. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une victoire en premi\u00e8re manche et une deuxi\u00e8me place dans la seconde, le pilote Kawasaki conserve la plaque rouge de leader avec neuf points d\u2019avance sur son grand rival dans la course au titre mondial.<\/p>\n

Parti en t\u00eate d\u00e8s le premier virage de la premi\u00e8re manche et tr\u00e8s \u00e0 l\u2019aise dans le sable profond de Lommel, il s\u2019est imm\u00e9diatement constitu\u00e9 une avance de plusieurs secondes, avant de g\u00e9rer la course avec lucidit\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Lucas Coenen est parvenu \u00e0 recoller au leader \u00e0 mi-course, s\u2019emparant bri\u00e8vement de la t\u00eate apr\u00e8s un spectaculaire saut dans la ligne droite des stands. Mais Febvre n\u2019a pas tard\u00e9 \u00e0 r\u00e9agir .\u00ab Je savais que Lucas allait tout tenter ici, chez lui. Quand il m\u2019a doubl\u00e9, je n\u2019ai pas h\u00e9sit\u00e9 une seconde : je suis repass\u00e9 d\u00e8s le virage suivant. C\u2019\u00e9tait important de briser son rythme et de montrer que je ne l\u00e2cherais rien\u00a0\u00bb, commente Febvre.<\/p>\n

\u00c0 force de constance et de ma\u00eetrise, le Fran\u00e7ais a repris le commandement et a su creuser l\u2019\u00e9cart.<\/p>\n

Une deuxi\u00e8me manche intelligente<\/strong><\/p>\n

De nouveau bien plac\u00e9 au d\u00e9part de la seconde manche, Febvre s\u2019est rapidement gliss\u00e9 en deuxi\u00e8me position, avant de prendre les r\u00eanes de la course dans le premier tiers. Mais cette fois, c\u2019est Coenen qui a repris l\u2019avantage, profitant d\u2019un meilleur choix de lignes dans une section technique.<\/p>\n

\u00ab J\u2019ai essay\u00e9 de comprendre o\u00f9 il me reprenait du temps, mais je n\u2019ai pas r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 m\u2019adapter\u00a0\u00bb, s’explique l’officiel Kawasaki. \u00ab\u00a0Il \u00e9tait plus rapide que moi \u00e0 deux endroits, et d\u00e8s qu\u2019il m\u2019a doubl\u00e9, il a imm\u00e9diatement creus\u00e9 un petit \u00e9cart. J\u2019ai tent\u00e9 de le suivre, mais il avait un rythme vraiment \u00e9lev\u00e9.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

Febvre n\u2019a pas pris de risques inutiles en fin de course, pr\u00e9f\u00e9rant assurer une solide deuxi\u00e8me place et un nouveau podium.<\/p>\n

Avec 47 points r\u00e9colt\u00e9s sur 50 possibles, Febvre repart de Lommel en leader. \u00ab Je suis satisfait de mon week-end. Ce genre de circuit peut tout faire basculer, et j\u2019en ressors avec un bon capital de points. J\u2019ai bien g\u00e9r\u00e9 mon \u00e9nergie, bien g\u00e9r\u00e9 les manches, et je repars avec la plaque rouge. Il reste encore plusieurs GP, mais je suis confiant : les prochaines pistes me conviennent bien\u00a0\u00bb, rassure le Fran\u00e7ais.<\/p>\n

Une analyse lucide appuy\u00e9e par son manager Antti Pyrh\u00f6nen : \u00ab\u00a0Romain a \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s fort ce week-end. Il a domin\u00e9 la premi\u00e8re manche et s\u2019est battu intelligemment dans la seconde. Lommel est impitoyable, c\u2019est un circuit qui teste les limites. Nous avons encore la plaque rouge, et nous continuerons \u00e0 nous battre jusqu\u2019au bout. \u00bb<\/p>\n
