Les principaux protagonistes des championnats MX1 et MX2 l’avaient annonc\u00e9 avant d’arriver en Belgique: le GP de Lommel risquait d’offrir de nombreuses surprises. Le sable de Lommel n’a en effet encore une fois fait de cadeau à personne. A personne, sauf peut-\u00eatre à Gert Krestinov. Vainqueur surprise du GP MX2, ce jeune Estonien de 18 ans a su profiter des circonstances de course particuli\u00e8res de Lommel et des nombreux rebondissements pour monter sur la plus haute marche du podium au g\u00e9n\u00e9ral devant le Portugais Rui Goncalves et Tommy Searle.
\nEn MX1, plus rien n’arr\u00eate Jonathan Barragan, vainqueur à Lommel de son 3\u00e8me GP cons\u00e9cutif! Seulement 5\u00e8me de son GP national, Steve Ramon a n\u00e9anmoins su \u00e9viter les pi\u00e8ges de ce 11\u00e8me rendez-vous de la saison et en profite pour passer en t\u00eate du classement provisoire.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Rendez-vous tr\u00e8s attendu, le GP de Lommel a tenu toutes ses promesses. Rarement en effet un GP n’avait offert pareil spectacle ces derni\u00e8res saisons! Sur un circuit toujours aussi difficile à ma\u00eetriser, m\u00eame pour les sp\u00e9cialistes du sable que sont aujourd’hui la plupart des pilotes de GP, dont beaucoup connaissent Lommel comme leur poche, pratiquement tous les favoris sont partis à la faute au moins une fois.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

M\u00eame Marc De Reuver, meilleur temps des essais du samedi et autoritaire vainqueur de la premi\u00e8re manche malgr\u00e9 la blessure au pied qui le fait toujours souffrir, a fini par perdre pied. Une petite faute qui co\u00e0\u00bbte cher au N\u00e9erlandais, incapable de red\u00e9marrer rapidement sa 450 CR-F et qui, en terminant seulement 10\u00e8me de la seconde manche, descend m\u00eame du podium au classement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, o\u00f9 il figure au 4\u00e8me rang.<\/p>\n

Une erreur qui arrive en revanche à point nomm\u00e9 pour l’Espagnol Jonathan Barragan. Second d’une premi\u00e8re manche o\u00f9 il \u00e9tait pourtant parti en t\u00eate avant de devoir c\u00e9der successivement le relais à Steve Ramon, Ken De Dijcker puis enfin Marc De Reuver, Barragan a men\u00e9 une course prudente dans la seconde. Pr\u00e9f\u00e9rant laisser Nagl et De Reuver jouer les premiers r\u00f4les, le pilote KTM s’est laiss\u00e9 glisser jusqu’en 4\u00e8me position avant de profiter de son relatif \u00e9tat de fraicheur pour remonter sur Nagl avant de profiter de la chute de De Reuver et ainsi remporter la manche devant le pilote allemand.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Avec une seconde place et une victoire, Jonathan Barragan remportait sa 4\u00e8me victoire de la saison qui est aussi son 3\u00e8me succ\u00e8s cons\u00e9cutif. Le pilote KTM est assur\u00e9ment l’homme de la seconde moiti\u00e9 de championnat en MX1. Avec 31 points de retard et 200 points encore à attribuer, l’Espagnol pourrait m\u00eame se mettre à r\u00eaver d’un titre mondial…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Un moment en t\u00eate de la premi\u00e8re manche puis mal parti dans la seconde, Ken De Dijcker confirme son bon \u00e9tat de forme actuel en montant à deux reprises sur la 3\u00e8me marche du podium. Deux 3\u00e8mes places qui lui valent de terminer second du GP devant Nagl, De Reuver et Ramon. Encore une fois incapable de s’imposer dans des conditions qui lui \u00e9taient pourtant favorables, le champion du monde en titre a n\u00e9anmoins su profiter des d\u00e9boires de David Philippaerts (15+6), victime d’une chute en premi\u00e8re manche, pour prendre la t\u00eate du classement provisoire, à 2 points de l’Italien.<\/p>\n

Journ\u00e9e difficile pour Cl\u00e9ment Desalle, arriv\u00e9 souffrant à Lommel, qui a d\u00e0\u00bb se battre tout le week-end pour terminer n\u00e9anmoins à une belle 8\u00e8me place en premi\u00e8re manche avant de rentrer 17\u00e8me dans la seconde.<\/p>\n

Roelants et Van Horebeek jouent les premiers r\u00f4les!<\/strong><\/p>\n

En MX2, la course a là aussi \u00e9t\u00e9 marqu\u00e9e par bon nombre de rebondissements. La premi\u00e8re manche fut un succ\u00e8s sur toute la ligne pour KTM puisque pas moins des 6 premi\u00e8res places reviennent à l’usine autrichienne avec Tyla Rattray devant Tommy Searle, Rui Goncalves, notre compatriote Jo\u00ebl Roelants, Shaun Simpson et notre meilleur repr\u00e9sentant actuel en MX2, J\u00e9r\u00e9my Van Horebeek, un moment 3\u00e8me avant de r\u00e9trograder au 6\u00e8me rang.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Au second d\u00e9part, Rattray, Searle et Simpson s’accrochent et c’est Nicolas Aubin qui emm\u00e8ne le peloton avant de c\u00e9der le leadership au jeune Estonien Gert Krestinov. Familier du sable de Lommel, Krestinov va saisir sa chance jusqu’au bout. Il m\u00e8ne longtemps la course devant l’inusable Erik Eggens, avant que celui-ci ne jette l’\u00e9ponge et ne laisse sa seconde place à Nicolas Aubin. Parti en 6\u00e8me position, J\u00e9r\u00e9my Van Horebeek monte finalement sur la 3\u00e8me marche du podium devant Goncalves, Roelants et Searle.
\nRevenu assez rapidement en 5\u00e8me position, Tyla rattray a quant à lui chut\u00e9 une seconde fois et termine en 10\u00e8me position.<\/p>\n

Si Krestinov (8+1) remporte le GP devant Goncalves et Searle, au championnat, Rattray m\u00e8ne toujours la danse devant son co\u00e9quipier Searle, tandis que J\u00e9r\u00e9my Van Horebeek profite de ses excellentes prestations à Lommel et des contre-performances de Xavier Boog (20+9) pour d\u00e9border le Fran\u00e7ais et pointer d\u00e9sormais à la 7\u00e8me place, à 42 points de Nicolas Aubin. <\/p>\n
