Lucas Coenen continue d\u2019impressionner le paddock MXGP. Dans le sable exigeant d\u2019Arnhem, notre compatriote a d\u00e9croch\u00e9 la deuxi\u00e8me marche du podium en terminant deux fois deuxi\u00e8me derri\u00e8re Jeffrey Herlings. Une performance d\u2019autant plus remarquable qu\u2019elle fut acquise au prix de deux remont\u00e9es \u00e9clatantes.<\/p>\n

En premi\u00e8re manche, Coenen a chut\u00e9 d\u00e8s le premier virage, repartant bon dernier. Sans se d\u00e9courager, il a remont\u00e9 un \u00e0 un ses adversaires pour aller chercher une splendide deuxi\u00e8me place. En seconde manche, de nouveau mal parti, il a d\u00fb batailler dans le peloton avant de revenir \u00e0 toute vitesse dans le sillage d\u2019Herlings. Dans les derniers tours, il semblait m\u00eame en mesure de jouer la victoire, mais le N\u00e9erlandais, port\u00e9 par son public, a su trouver les ressources n\u00e9cessaires pour tenir jusqu’au drapeau \u00e0 damiers. Mais il s’en est fallu de peu !<\/p>\n

Lucide sur sa performance, Lucas reconnaissait apr\u00e8s coup que ses d\u00e9parts l\u2019ont vraisemblablement priv\u00e9 d’une nouvelle victoire en GP aujourd’hui. \u00ab Les d\u00e9parts \u00e9taient vraiment mauvais aujourd\u2019hui\u00a0\u00bb, analyse l’officiel KTM. \u00ab\u00a0J\u2019ai chut\u00e9 au premier et je suis reparti dernier, et dans la deuxi\u00e8me manche c\u2019\u00e9tait pareil. \u00c7a a \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s dur pour moi et j\u2019ai pouss\u00e9 tr\u00e8s fort. J\u2019ai tout donn\u00e9 et j\u2019\u00e9tais tout pr\u00e8s de le doubler [Herlings] \u00e0 la fin. Globalement, je ne peux pas me permettre de commettre ces erreurs. J\u2019ai besoin de ces points, donc nous devons trouver une solution pour les d\u00e9parts durant la semaine de repos, et ensuite nous serons de retour en premi\u00e8re loge. \u00bb\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Avec ce onzi\u00e8me podium en douze Grands Prix, Coenen confirme qu\u2019il est plus que jamais l\u2019un des hommes forts de la cat\u00e9gorie reine. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ce r\u00e9sultat, il reprend onze points \u00e0 son principal rival pour le titre, Romain Febvre, et ne compte plus que 31 unit\u00e9s de retard au championnat, alors que 180 points restent \u00e0 distribuer.<\/p>\n

La fin de saison s\u2019annonce donc haletante pour le rookie belge, qui tentera d\u2019am\u00e9liorer ses d\u00e9parts d\u00e8s la prochaine \u00e9preuve en Turquie, avant les deux rendez-vous en Chine et en Australie qui cl\u00f4tureront la campagne 2025.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
