L\u2019histoire entre Rick Elzinga et Yamaha touche \u00e0 sa fin. Apr\u00e8s avoir d\u00e9fendu avec d\u00e9termination les couleurs bleues au fil des saisons, le pilote n\u00e9erlandais de 23 ans s\u2019appr\u00eate \u00e0 franchir une nouvelle \u00e9tape de sa carri\u00e8re : le passage en MXGP, la cat\u00e9gorie reine du motocross mondial.<\/p>\n

Arriv\u00e9 tr\u00e8s jeune au sein de la pyramide Yamaha Racing, Elzinga n\u2019a pas tard\u00e9 \u00e0 se faire remarquer. D\u2019abord sur une YZ125 GYTR, il s\u2019est forg\u00e9 une r\u00e9putation sur l\u2019EMX125 gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des podiums m\u00e9morables. En 2022, son ascension a pris un tournant d\u00e9cisif : il s\u2019est impos\u00e9 en patron du championnat EMX250, cumulant quatre victoires de manche et cinq succ\u00e8s de course. Ce titre lui a ouvert les portes de l\u2019\u00e9quipe Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2.<\/p>\n

Trois ann\u00e9es intenses en MX2<\/strong><\/p>\n

Au guidon de la YZ250F officielle, Elzinga a rapidement trouv\u00e9 sa place parmi l\u2019\u00e9lite de la cat\u00e9gorie. En trois saisons, il a d\u00e9croch\u00e9 deux podiums et s\u2019est r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement invit\u00e9 dans le top 5. Mais \u00e0 23 ans, la r\u00e8gle de la limite d\u2019\u00e2ge met fin \u00e0 son aventure en MX2. Loin d\u2019\u00eatre un frein, cette \u00e9ch\u00e9ance devient une opportunit\u00e9 : d\u00e9sormais, le N\u00e9erlandais se tourne vers le MXGP, o\u00f9 il affrontera les meilleurs pilotes de la plan\u00e8te.<\/p>\n

Chez Yamaha, on ne cache pas la fiert\u00e9 du chemin parcouru. Thorsten Lentink, sp\u00e9cialiste MX Racing pour Yamaha Motor Europe, r\u00e9sume parfaitement l\u2019esprit de cette collaboration :<\/p>\n
