La ministre des Sports, Jacqueline Galant, s\u2019est rendue sur place jeudi dernier afin de faire le point sur son d\u00e9veloppement et son avenir. La t\u00e9l\u00e9vision locale <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vedia.be\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vedia<\/a> \u00e9tait sur place pour couvrir l&rsquo;\u00e9v\u00e9nement.<\/p>\n<p>Le propri\u00e9taire du circuit, Andr\u00e9 Mathieu, se r\u00e9jouit du soutien politique apport\u00e9 \u00e0 cette initiative : \u00ab C\u2019est toujours important d\u2019avoir les politiques avec soi. Nous avons presque termin\u00e9 les travaux. Cette visite nous permet aussi d\u2019\u00e9voquer des projets d\u2019avenir pour la piste. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Selon son propri\u00e9taire, le site ambitionnerait d\u00e9sormais d\u2019accueillir des comp\u00e9titions internationales, notamment un round du mondial MXGP, \u00e0 l\u2019horizon 2027.<br \/>\nUn projet ambitieux mais porteur pour la r\u00e9gion et pour le sport moteur en Belgique.<\/p>\n<p>Pour Jacqueline Galant, le circuit de Lierneux repr\u00e9sente un atout majeur pour le sport belge, malgr\u00e9 des d\u00e9fis environnementaux et administratifs importants : \u00ab Nous sommes une terre de champions en Belgique en mati\u00e8re de motocross, mais il y a malheureusement toutes les contraintes environnementales. Ce projet \u00e0 Lierneux, c\u2019est vraiment un projet qu\u2019il faut soutenir.
