\u00c0 la suite de son tout premier grand titre professionnel, Jo Shimoda a sign\u00e9 un nouveau contrat avec l\u2019\u00e9quipe Honda HRC Progressive d\u2019usine, a confirm\u00e9 American Honda aujourd\u2019hui. \u00c2g\u00e9 de 23 ans, Shimoda a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 une saison 2025 remarquable, se battant r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement pour les victoires et les podiums, et remportant la couronne du SuperMotocross 250. Dans le m\u00eame temps, il a gagn\u00e9 en popularit\u00e9 aupr\u00e8s des fans, s\u00e9duits par son style fluide et sa personnalit\u00e9 attachante.<\/p>\n

N\u00e9 et \u00e9lev\u00e9 \u00e0 Suzuka, au Japon (o\u00f9 Honda poss\u00e8de plusieurs installations importantes), Shimoda a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 rouler \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e2ge de 4 ans. Apr\u00e8s avoir connu des succ\u00e8s pr\u00e9coces dans son pays natal, il a perfectionn\u00e9 ses comp\u00e9tences lors de sorties internationales de plus en plus fr\u00e9quentes. Il a finalement int\u00e9gr\u00e9 le programme amateur Factory Connection soutenu par Honda, qui s\u2019est transform\u00e9 en contrat professionnel vers la fin de la saison 2019. Il a obtenu de bons r\u00e9sultats au cours des deux ann\u00e9es suivantes, remportant m\u00eame le titre de Rookie de l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2020 en AMA Supercross. Shimoda a ensuite rejoint un autre constructeur lorsque l\u2019\u00e9quipe satellite a ferm\u00e9 \u00e0 la fin de la saison 2021, avant de revenir dans l\u2019\u00e9quipe officielle Honda en 2024.<\/p>\n

La saison 2025 a marqu\u00e9 une \u00e9tape majeure dans sa carri\u00e8re. Il a remport\u00e9 l\u2019ouverture du championnat AMA Supercross 250 West, avant qu\u2019une blessure accidentelle \u00e0 la main ne perturbe le reste de sa campagne en salle. Il a tout de m\u00eame termin\u00e9 deuxi\u00e8me du championnat AMA Pro Motocross, avec deux victoires au g\u00e9n\u00e9ral. Lors des trois manches des Playoffs du SuperMotocross, Shimoda a ajout\u00e9 deux nouvelles victoires et d\u00e9croch\u00e9 le titre, devenant ainsi le premier pilote japonais \u00e0 remporter un championnat AMA professionnel. Il a \u00e9galement impressionn\u00e9 lors du Motocross des Nations, o\u00f9 il pilotait une CRF450RWE pour la premi\u00e8re fois avec l\u2019\u00e9quipe du Japon, signant des r\u00e9sultats 2-6 dans ses deux manches.<\/p>\n
