A 34 ans, le pilote n\u00e9erlandophone a \u00e9t\u00e9 victime d&rsquo;un accident de travail \u00e0 Tessenderlo. Il laisse derri\u00e8re lui sa compagne et leur fils de trois ans. Notre r\u00e9daction pr\u00e9sente ses plus sinc\u00e8res condol\u00e9ances aux proches et \u00e0 la famille de Mike Vanderstraeten.<\/p>\n<p>D\u00e8s 2008, il avait \u00e9t\u00e9 projet\u00e9 sur le devant de la sc\u00e8ne belge en \u00e9tant s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 parmi les jeunes talents du programme Motorsport Future aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de C\u00e9dric Grobben, Dietger Damiaens et Dieter Vromans.\u00a0 Cette m\u00eame ann\u00e9e, il remportait le premier MX Rookie \u00e0 Lommel.<\/p>\n<p>En 2014, il remportait la classe EMX300 \u00e0 Lommel. L&rsquo;ann\u00e9e suivante, il inscrivait \u00e0 son nom l&rsquo;\u00e9preuve d&rsquo;ouverture du championnat de Belgique de motocross, toujours dans le sable de Lommel.
