Le Dakar 2026 a pris son envol ce samedi 3 janvier avec le traditionnel prologue, petite mise en jambes de moins de 100 kilom\u00e8tres au d\u00e9part de Yanbu, en Arabie Saoudite.<\/p>\n

Au terme d’une liaison de 73 kilom\u00e8tres et d’un chrono de 22 kilom\u00e8tres, l\u2019Espagnol Edgar Canet remporte la premi\u00e8re sp\u00e9ciale de sa carri\u00e8re et devient \u00e0 20 ans le plus jeune vainqueur dans l\u2019histoire du Dakar \u00e0 moto, pour son bapt\u00eame en Rally GP. L\u2019officiel KTM devance son co\u00e9quipier Daniel Sanders (+3\u2019\u2019) et la Honda de Ricky Brabec (+5\u2019\u2019).\u00a0La troisi\u00e8me \u00ab Orange \u00bb officielle de Luciano Benavides se place 4e (+11\u2019\u2019). Le clan KTM, tenant du titre, prend un excellent d\u00e9part.<\/p>\n

En Rally 2, Michael Docherty renoue avec sa performance de 2023 aux portes du Sea Camp plant\u00e9 \u00e0 Yanbu. Le Sud-Africain, 6e temps scratch (+19\u2019\u2019) s\u2019impose pour 26\u2019\u2019 dans sa cat\u00e9gorie devant Tobias Ebster et Konrad Dabrowski. Deux nouveaux venus sur Honda ferment le top 5 de la cat\u00e9gorie.\u00a0Preston Campbell (+32\u2019\u2019)\u00a0et\u00a0Ruy Barbosa (+33\u2019\u2019).<\/p>\n

Seul Belge engag\u00e9 chez les motos cette ann\u00e9e, J\u00e9r\u00f4me Martiny termine le prologue \u00e0 la 31\u00e8me place. \u00ab\u00a0Je suis surpris, je n’ai jamais fait aussi bien sur un prologue\u00a0\u00bb, confiait notre compatriote \u00e0 l’arriv\u00e9e. \u00ab\u00a0Je partais cool comme \u00e0 chaque fois mais je me m\u00e9fiais quand m\u00eame, je pensais que \u00e7a allait \u00eatre plus compliqu\u00e9 que cela. Tout s’est bien pass\u00e9, on va tenter de continuer comme cela.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

Martiny participe cette ann\u00e9e \u00e0 son cinqui\u00e8me Dakar. Il s’aligne une nouvelle fois dans l’exigeante cat\u00e9gorie \u00ab\u00a0malle-moto\u00a0\u00bb, o\u00f9 le pilote ne b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie d’aucune assistance. Avec toutefois une machine qu’il d\u00e9couvre puisque le pilote de Gouvy est cette ann\u00e9e au guidon d’une Honda.<\/p>\n

Demain, les choses s\u00e9rieuses commenceront avec une boucle de 520 kilom\u00e8tres de Yanbu \u00e0 Yanbu, dont 305 de sp\u00e9ciale.<\/p>\n
