Le tenant du titre Daniel Sanders n\u2019a attendu que la deuxi\u00e8me \u00e9tape pour reprendre les commandes du Dakar en s\u2019imposant sur l\u2019\u00e9tape d\u2019AlUla. C\u2019est au terme d\u2019une r\u00e9elle d\u00e9monstration de rallye-raid en partenariat avec son co\u00e9quipier Edgar Canet que l\u2019Australien remporte sa 10e \u00e9tape sur le Dakar et devient le 22e pilote dans l\u2019histoire \u00e0 pr\u00e9senter un score \u00e0 deux chiffres.<\/p>\n

Apr\u00e8s ses deux succ\u00e8s sur le prologue et la premi\u00e8re \u00e9tape, le jeune Espagnol de Red Bull KTM Factory Racing \u00e9tait appel\u00e9 \u00e0 ouvrir la piste : une t\u00e2che dont il s\u2019est acquitt\u00e9 pendant une centaine de kilom\u00e8tres, avant une l\u00e9g\u00e8re chute sans cons\u00e9quence qui a permis \u00e0 Sanders de faire la jonction. Au bout des 400 kilom\u00e8tres de la sp\u00e9ciale et apr\u00e8s l\u2019attribution des bonifications accord\u00e9es aux ouvreurs, l\u2019\u00e9cart entre les deux pilotes est de 1\u201935\u2019\u2019 en faveur de l\u2019Australien, \u00e9galement nouveau leader du classement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral avec 30\u2019\u2019 d\u2019avance.<\/p>\n

Derri\u00e8re les deux KTM, Ricky Brabec signe le 3e temps du jour et reste aussi 3e du classement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral provisoire, \u00e0 2\u201918\u2019\u2019. Les \u00e9carts restent modestes dans le Top 5, compl\u00e9t\u00e9 par\u00a0Tosha Schareina\u00a0\u00e0 4\u201941\u2019\u2019 et\u00a0Ross Branch\u00a0\u00e0 7\u201946\u2019\u2019. En revanche,\u00a0Adrien Van Beveren, victime d\u2019une grosse chute, accuse d\u00e9j\u00e0 un retard cons\u00e9quent, 10e de la hi\u00e9rarchie de la course \u00e0 14\u201909\u2019\u2019.<\/p>\n

La comp\u00e9tition en Rally 2 a connu une petite r\u00e9volution, puisqu\u2019une moto Honda s\u2019est pour la premi\u00e8re fois impos\u00e9e dans la cat\u00e9gorie existant depuis 2022, pilot\u00e9e par le Portugais\u00a0Martim Ventura, nouveau venu sur le Dakar. La marque japonaise rejoint un club qui reste largement domin\u00e9 par KTM (36 \u00e9tapes en R2), suivie de Husqvarna (16) et de Sherco (2). En revanche,\u00a0Ventura\u00a0n\u2019est pas parvenu \u00e0 prendre la t\u00eate du classement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de la cat\u00e9gorie, o\u00f9\u00a0Michael Docherty\u00a0tr\u00f4ne avec 19\u2019\u2019 d\u2019avance.<\/p>\n

De son c\u00f4t\u00e9, J\u00e9r\u00f4me Martiny termine cette 3\u00e8me journ\u00e9e de course avec une 34\u00e8me place \u00e0 la cl\u00e9. De quoi permettre \u00e0 notre compatriote d’occuper actuellement la 33\u00e8me position du g\u00e9n\u00e9ral provisoire du rallye.<\/p>\n

Demain mardi, la 3\u00e8me \u00e9tape sera une boucle de quelque 736 kilom\u00e8tres, parmi lesquels 422 chronom\u00e9tr\u00e9s autour d’Alula.<\/p>\n
