Il n\u2019est donc pas invincible. La saison 2025 r\u00e9alis\u00e9e par Daniel Sanders, conclue par un titre de champion du monde dans la foul\u00e9e de sa victoire au Dakar, pouvait laisser croire que la grande boucle Yanbu-Yanbu serait parcourue comme un boulevard par l\u2019Australien sur sa KTM. Le favori pour la d\u00e9fense de son titre respectait d\u2019ailleurs un plan de marche coh\u00e9rent et tr\u00f4nait au sommet du classement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral avec plus de 6 minutes d\u2019avance sur Ricky Brabec au classement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral ce matin. Mais malgr\u00e9 sa maitrise technique, son physique des plus robustes et son aptitude \u00e9prouv\u00e9e \u00e0 la navigation \u00e0 grande vitesse, tout a chang\u00e9 au kilom\u00e8tre 138, o\u00f9 il s\u2019est chiffonn\u00e9 l\u2019\u00e9paule gauche sur une chute. En serrant les dents \u00ab Chucky \u00bb a rejoint l\u2019arriv\u00e9e mais a perdu pr\u00e8s d\u2019une demi-heure.<\/p>\n

Si le leader des Red Bull KTM Factory Racing voit son doubl\u00e9 tr\u00e8s largement compromis (4e \u00e0 7\u201931\u2019\u2019), la victoire 2026 n\u2019\u00e9chappera pas n\u00e9cessairement au clan autrichien. Parti en 9e position et auteur d\u2019une sp\u00e9ciale qu\u2019il aurait presque pu s\u2019offrir, Luciano Benavides reste en effet dans le match. Le prestigieux Touareg \u00e0 conqu\u00e9rir dans trois jours lui fait r\u00e9ellement de l\u2019\u0153il. Mais pour parvenir \u00e0 le soulever sur le podium final, l\u2019Argentin devra combler un retard d\u2019une vingtaine de secondes et gagner un match totalement incertain face \u00e0 Ricky Brabec, son rival chez Monster Energy Honda HRC.<\/p>\n

L\u2019\u00e9tape du jour a sacr\u00e9 Adrien Van Beveren, qui a connu des hauts et des bas depuis le d\u00e9part de Yanbu. Cette ann\u00e9e, son sommet a donc \u00e9t\u00e9 gravi sur la route de Bisha, en s\u2019offrant une sp\u00e9ciale le jour o\u00f9 le bivouac rend hommage \u00e0 Thierry Sabine, le cr\u00e9ateur du Paris-Dakar mais aussi de l\u2019Enduro du Touquet, l\u2019\u00e9preuve sur laquelle il s\u2019est r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 en s\u2019imposant \u00e0 trois reprises (2014-15-16). En plus de sa 7e sp\u00e9ciale sur le Dakar, le Nordiste gagne en prime une place au g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, 6e \u00e0 une petite heure minutes du leader am\u00e9ricain.<\/p>\n

J\u00e9r\u00f4me Martiny poursuit sa route vers l’arriv\u00e9e. Alors que seules deux grosses \u00e9tapes restent \u00e0 disputer, notre compatriote g\u00e8re la journ\u00e9e avec intelligence pour terminer 28\u00e8me. Il grapille quelques places au g\u00e9n\u00e9ral pour s’installer au 22\u00e8me rang, toujours 3\u00e8me de la cat\u00e9gorie malle-moto.<\/p>\n
