Apr\u00e8s le podium d’Anaheim 1, Jorge Prado n’a pu r\u00e9\u00e9diter son exploit \u00e0 San Diego ce week-end. Dans le coup lors des chronos comme lors de sa manche de qualification, l’Espagnol n’est jamais parvenu \u00e0 effacer un mauvais d\u00e9part en finale.<\/p>\n

Pour sa deuxi\u00e8me apparition en Supercross sous les couleurs du Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, Jorge Prado a de nouveau montr\u00e9 de belles choses \u00e0 San Diego. Le multiple champion du monde de motocross y a sign\u00e9 le deuxi\u00e8me temps des qualifications 450SX au guidon de sa KTM 450 SX-F Factory Edition, avant de d\u00e9crocher le holeshot de la Heat 1 et de conclure cette manche qualificative \u00e0 une solide deuxi\u00e8me place, confirmant sa bonne dynamique apr\u00e8s son podium \u00e0 Anaheim.<\/p>\n

En finale, l\u2019Espagnol s\u2019\u00e9lance en dehors du top 10. Sur une piste de plus en plus pi\u00e9geuse, Prado adopte une course mesur\u00e9e mais peine \u00e0 hausser le rythme, franchissant la ligne d\u2019arriv\u00e9e en 13e position. Un r\u00e9sultat en de\u00e7\u00e0 de ses ambitions, mais qui s\u2019inscrit dans une phase d\u2019apprentissage assum\u00e9e du Supercross.<\/p>\n

\u00ab La deuxi\u00e8me \u00e9preuve de la saison a \u00e9t\u00e9 une nouvelle journ\u00e9e positive\u00a0\u00bb, s’exprime Prado. \u00ab\u00a0M\u00eame si la finale ne s\u2019est pas d\u00e9roul\u00e9e comme je l\u2019aurais souhait\u00e9, j\u2019ai termin\u00e9 deuxi\u00e8me des qualifications et deuxi\u00e8me en Heat Race, donc jusque-l\u00e0 tout se passait tr\u00e8s bien. En finale, j\u2019ai rat\u00e9 mon d\u00e9part et ensuite j\u2019ai roul\u00e9 trop tendu. Je n\u2019ai pas vraiment pilot\u00e9 comme je sais le faire et c\u2019\u00e9tait un peu difficile. Je me suis cal\u00e9 sur le rythme des pilotes devant moi, au lieu d\u2019imposer le mien. C\u2019est quelque chose dont je dois tirer les enseignements qui s’imposent. C\u2019est une bonne exp\u00e9rience pour progresser et \u00eatre meilleur \u00e0 l\u2019avenir.
