Cinq titres mondiaux, un palmar\u00e8s XXL, et pourtant une page blanche. Tim Gajser entame ce week-end sa premi\u00e8re saison sous les couleurs Yamaha.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bariloche. Un nom qui sent le chocolat, la c\u00e9ramique et les paysages andins \u00e0 couper le souffle. Mais depuis ce week-end, la ville patagonienne sent aussi l’huile de castor. Le championnat du monde MXGP 2026 s’y \u00e9lance pour la premi\u00e8re fois, sur un tout nouveau circuit au c\u0153ur du Parc National Nahuel Huapi \u2014 et avec lui, une nouvelle \u00e8re pour Tim Gajser.<\/p>\n

Le Slov\u00e8ne de 29 ans a en effet franchi le pas cet hiver : apr\u00e8s des ann\u00e9es chez Honda, il a rejoint le Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Team pour ce qui s’annonce comme l’une des saisons les plus attendues de la d\u00e9cennie. Aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de Maxime Renaux, il forme une paire que le team manager Hans Corvers r\u00e9sume sans d\u00e9tour : \u00ab\u00a0Pour viser les grandes r\u00e9compenses, il faut des gros calibres. Avec Maxime et Tim, nous en avons d\u00e9sormais deux.\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

La pr\u00e9paration a \u00e9t\u00e9 solide. Gajser a sign\u00e9 la victoire \u00e0 Mantova lors des courses de pr\u00e9-saison, et Yamaha aurait visiblement bien travaill\u00e9 sur la machine durant l’hiver \u2014 les deux pilotes seraient pleinement satisfaits de la nouvelle YZ450FM. Mais l’Argentine, c’est une autre histoire. Une piste in\u00e9dite, un environnement encore inconnu, et une premi\u00e8re manche toujours particuli\u00e8re pour jauger les forces en pr\u00e9sence.<\/p>\n

Gajser lui-m\u00eame aborde le week-end avec une lucidit\u00e9 d\u00e9sarmante :<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0J’attends vraiment avec impatience le d\u00e9but de la saison. L’intersaison a \u00e9t\u00e9 longue et charg\u00e9e, alors je suis impatient de retrouver la comp\u00e9tition. Je ne sais pas exactement \u00e0 quoi m’attendre de la piste, mais d’apr\u00e8s ce que j’ai vu sur les r\u00e9seaux, \u00e7a a l’air bien : rapide, avec de gros sauts. \u00c7a me pla\u00eet.<\/em><\/p>\n

Mon objectif pour ce premier GP, c’est d’apprendre un maximum. \u00c9videmment, je veux faire un bon r\u00e9sultat, mais je dois rester r\u00e9aliste. Tout le monde repart de z\u00e9ro avec la faim au ventre, et moi je suis dans une nouvelle \u00e9quipe, sur une nouvelle moto \u2014 il y a donc des inconnues. Je sais que ce sera un week-end d’apprentissage. Je ne veux pas me fixer d’attentes. Ce que je sais, c’est que si je roule comme je suis capable de le faire, je peux \u00eatre devant.\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Une humilit\u00e9 de fa\u00e7ade ? Peut-\u00eatre. Car l’homme aux cinq couronnes mondiales n’est pas \u00e9tranger \u00e0 l’Argentine. Il y a d\u00e9j\u00e0 remport\u00e9 plusieurs GP, et l’accueil du public sud-am\u00e9ricain \u2014 passionn\u00e9, bruyant, chaleureux \u2014 lui laisse visiblement de bons souvenirs. De quoi se sentir un peu chez soi, m\u00eame sur une piste toute neuve.<\/p>\n

Du c\u00f4t\u00e9 du team, les ambitions sont pos\u00e9es clairement mais sans exc\u00e8s. Corvers ne prononce pas le mot \u00ab\u00a0titre\u00a0\u00bb \u2014 les blessures ont trop souvent plomb\u00e9 les deux derni\u00e8res saisons \u2014 mais il fixe un cap concret : un podium par Grand Prix, tout au long des 19 manches. \u00ab\u00a0Ensuite, on verra jusqu’o\u00f9 \u00e7a nous m\u00e8ne.\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n
