Ambiance de d\u00e9but de saison, paysages \u00e0 couper le souffle et plateau de r\u00eave : le premier Grand Prix de la saison MXGP 2026 a tenu toutes ses promesses ce dimanche \u00e0 Bariloche. Au pied des Andes, la toute nouvelle piste accueillait pour la toute premi\u00e8re fois le championnat du monde de motocross. Un terrain de jeu id\u00e9al pour les pilotes MXGP qui a permis \u00e0 Jeffrey Herlings de frapper d’entr\u00e9e. Au guidon de sa toute nouvelle Honda officielle, le Hollandais s’est offert le doubl\u00e9. Il remporte le premier GP de la saison devant le champion du monde en titre Romain Febvre et le rookie de la cat\u00e9gorie Tom Vialle.\u00a0Lucas Coenen entame sa saison sur une cinqui\u00e8me place au classement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral.<\/p>\n

Dans la premi\u00e8re manche, Jeffrey Herlings a sign\u00e9 le holeshot et contr\u00f4l\u00e9 les premiers tours avant que son co\u00e9quipier Tom Vialle ne prenne la t\u00eate. Le Fran\u00e7ais du clan HRC, d\u00e9j\u00e0 vainqueur samedi de la manche qualificative, semblait tenir la course en main. A trois tours du drapeau \u00e0 damier, Herlings a cependant lanc\u00e9 une contre-attaque d\u00e9cisive pour reprendre le commandement et s’offrir la victoire.<\/p>\n

Romain Febvre et Lucas Coenen ont tous deux remont\u00e9 depuis le coeur du peloton pour finalement s’installer en troisi\u00e8me et quatri\u00e8me positions. Pauls Jonass signait un solide top 5 alors que le duo Monster Energy Yamaha form\u00e9 par Tim Gajser et Maxime Renaux concluait en sixi\u00e8me et septi\u00e8me positions apr\u00e8s des courses plus discr\u00e8tes. Calvin Vlaanderen (Ducati), Rub\u00e9n Fern\u00e1ndez (Honda HRC Petronas) et le rookie Thibault Benistant (SR Motoblouz Honda) compl\u00e9taient le top 10.<\/p>\n

Brent Van Doninck place sa Fantic en 13\u00e8me position alors que Jago Geerts, alors en 15\u00e8me position, chutait \u00e0 la mi-course et devait jeter l’\u00e9ponge. Notre compatriote ne prendra pas le d\u00e9part de la seconde manche, ce qui laisse craindre une nouvelle blessure.<\/p>\n

Jeffrey Herlings remet le couvert<\/strong><\/p>\n

La seconde manche a d\u00e9but\u00e9 par un faux d\u00e9part, la grille connaissant un dysfonctionnement qui a impos\u00e9 qu’un nouveau d\u00e9part soit donn\u00e9\u2014 lequel a souri aux Fran\u00e7ais. Tom Vialle a pris les commandes devant Maxime Renaux, Romain Febvre, Tim Gajser et Rub\u00e9n Fern\u00e1ndez, tandis qu’un accrochage dans le second virage impliquant notamment Jonass, Seewer, Forato et Pancar venait perturber le peloton.<\/p>\n

Vialle a ensuite commis une erreur qui l’a fait d\u00e9crocher : Febvre, Renaux puis Herlings l’ont successivement d\u00e9pass\u00e9. Renaux a lui aussi chut\u00e9 \u00e0 mi-course en perdant l’avant dans une descente, offrant la deuxi\u00e8me place \u00e0 Herlings et repartant sixi\u00e8me. Febvre semblait tenir la victoire avec plus de sept secondes d’avance \u00e0 mi-course, mais comme en premi\u00e8re manche face \u00e0 Vialle, Herlings a hauss\u00e9 le ton dans le dernier tiers et est all\u00e9 chercher le Fran\u00e7ais dans les derniers tours pour signer le doubl\u00e9. Gajser compl\u00e9te le podium devant Vialle, Fern\u00e1ndez, Coenen, Adamo, Renaux et Benistant.<\/p>\n

Au g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, Herlings (1-1) s’impose devant Febvre (3-2) et Vialle (2-4). Les deux co\u00e9quipiers HRC repartent ex aequo en t\u00eate du championnat, avec seulement deux points d’avance sur le tenant du titre. Coenen est quatri\u00e8me \u00e0 6 points de Febvre. Cap sur l’Espagne pour le deuxi\u00e8me round de la saison, les 21 et 22 mars.<\/p>\n
