Lotte van Drunen sera ce week-end au d\u00e9part du GP d’Andalousie dans la cat\u00e9gorie MX2, afin de poursuivre sa pr\u00e9paration en vue de la d\u00e9fense de son titre mondial WMX. La N\u00e9erlandaise de l’\u00e9quipe De Baets Racing enfilera donc de nouveau son casque face aux t\u00e9nors du MX2, une habitude qu’elle est en train de se forger, et qui dit beaucoup sur son ambition.<\/p>\n

En remportant le championnat du monde WMX 2024 \u00e0 seulement 17 ans, van Drunen est devenue la plus jeune pilote \u00e0 d\u00e9crocher ce titre. Elle a ensuite r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 le d\u00e9fendre en 2025.
\nMais pour Lotte, dominer les femmes ne suffit pas. D\u00e8s 2024, elle a franchi un cap en s’alignant face aux gar\u00e7ons sur la sc\u00e8ne mondiale.<\/p>\n

En 2024, Lotte n’avait que 16 ans lorsqu’elle enlevait un point en MX2 dans le sable du GP de Lommel chez nous, en Belgique. La jeune N\u00e9erlandaise avait abord\u00e9 cette premi\u00e8re avec une humilit\u00e9 d\u00e9sarmante, mais en \u00e9tait ressortie avec le sourire : \u00ab Je n’attendais pas grand-chose, honn\u00eatement, mais j’ai d\u00e9croch\u00e9 un point, c’est incroyable ! C’\u00e9tait vraiment bizarre car en WMX, c’est moi qui double tout le monde, mais en MX2, c’est moi qui me faisais d\u00e9passer. J’ai quand m\u00eame ador\u00e9. C’\u00e9tait vraiment dur, mais j’ai beaucoup appris. \u00bb<\/p>\n

En 2025, van Drunen a particip\u00e9 \u00e0 deux reprises dans la cat\u00e9gorie MX2 du championnat du monde. Une habitude qu’elle reprend d\u00e8s ce week-end \u00e0 Almonte. La double championne du monde WMX s’alignera une nouvelle fois en MX2 sur une piste sablonneuse in\u00e9dite au calendrier GP. Un terrain qui devrait a priori lui convenir, elle qui a grandi dans le sable des Pays-Bas et qui y a construit une grande partie de sa r\u00e9putation.<\/p>\n

Le d\u00e9fi reste immense face \u00e0 une grille MX2 relev\u00e9e \u2014 avec notamment le champion en titre Simon L\u00e4ngenfelder et nos compatriotes Liam Everts et Sacha Coenen \u2014 mais Lotte van Drunen a d\u00e9j\u00e0 prouv\u00e9 qu’elle n’\u00e9tait pas l\u00e0 pour faire de la figuration. Chaque apparition face aux hommes est une le\u00e7on de plus, un pas suppl\u00e9mentaire dans une carri\u00e8re qui semble n’avoir aucune limite.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
