La saison MXGP d\u00e9barque en terres helv\u00e8tes pour son troisi\u00e8me rendez-vous. Le circuit du Schollenholz s’appr\u00eate \u00e0 vivre sa dixi\u00e8me \u00e9dition dans un cadre qui n’a rien perdu de son charme. Frauenfeld, ses collines dominant la ville, ses gradins blind\u00e9s de supporters locaux et les habitu\u00e9s venus d’outre-Rhin : le d\u00e9cor est plant\u00e9. Apr\u00e8s deux manches disput\u00e9es dans le sable, changement de d\u00e9cor pour le peloton MXGP avec la terre suisse.<\/p>\n

Lucas Coenen (Red Bull KTM) aborde ce week-end avec la plaque rouge pour la premi\u00e8re fois de sa carri\u00e8re. Huit points d’avance sur Jeffrey Herlings, treize sur Tom Vialle \u2014 le Belge a su capitaliser sur un doubl\u00e9 \u00e0 Almonte le week-end dernier. La constance est l\u00e0, la vitesse aussi. La question est d\u00e9sormais de savoir comment notre compatriote fera face \u00e0 la pression d’un plateau redoutable. Mais sur une piste o\u00f9 il avait remport\u00e9 l’an dernier son premier succ\u00e8s dans la cat\u00e9gorie reine, l’officiel KTM semble avoir toutes les cartes en main pour enfoncer le clou et marquer \u00e0 nouveau des points importants sur ses adversaires.<\/p>\n

Car Herlings, lui, a un historique \u00e9loquent \u00e0 Frauenfeld : deux victoires cons\u00e9cutives en 2017 et 2018, une deuxi\u00e8me place globale en 2024. Le N\u00e9erlandais de Honda HRC Petronas est le seul \u00e0 avoir encha\u00een\u00e9 deux succ\u00e8s ici, et m\u00eame s’il n’\u00e9tait pas \u00e0 100 % l’an dernier sur cette piste, il reste le principal rival \u00e0 surveiller. Deuxi\u00e8me au championnat, il sera probablement l’homme \u00e0 battre.<\/p>\n

Romain Febvre (KRT Kawasaki), quatri\u00e8me au g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, n’a jamais gagn\u00e9 \u00e0 Frauenfeld mais n’en est jamais sorti hors du Top 5. Sa r\u00e9gularit\u00e9 sur ce type de terrain est redoutable, et il arrive sans s\u00e9quelles d\u00e9clar\u00e9es apr\u00e8s sa chute espagnole. Maxime Renaux, son ombre au championnat (\u00e0 \u00e9galit\u00e9 de points \u00e0 la 4e place), avait lui brill\u00e9 ici en 2023 sous les couleurs Monster Energy Yamaha. Deux Fran\u00e7ais \u00e0 surveiller de tr\u00e8s pr\u00e8s.<\/p>\n

Tim Gajser, sixi\u00e8me au classement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, cherchera \u00e0 effacer de mauvais souvenirs 2025 en s’appuyant sur son week-end parfait de 2024. Andrea Adamo (KTM) et Ruben Fernandez (Honda HRC Petronas, vainqueur de la qualif’ l’an dernier) compl\u00e8tent le groupe de pr\u00e9tendants au podium. L’outsider Calvin Vlaanderen (Red Bull Ducati) a des qualit\u00e9s certaines, et Pauls Jonass avait d\u00e9croch\u00e9 des podiums ici en 2017 et 2018 \u2014 mais il n’a jamais termin\u00e9 une manche compl\u00e8te \u00e0 Frauenfeld depuis.<\/p>\n

C\u00f4t\u00e9 suisse, dix pilotes locaux s’\u00e9lanceront dans la cat\u00e9gorie reine. Arnaud Tonus (34 ans, JK Racing Yamaha) remplace l’accident\u00e9 Isak Gifting et avait remport\u00e9 la premi\u00e8re manche ici en 2017 \u2014 son bib #200 devrait d\u00e9cha\u00eener les tribunes. Jeremy Seewer (Red Bull Ducati) voudra absolument retrouver le podium obtenu l’an dernier, lui qui pointe \u00e0 une discr\u00e8te 20e place au championnat. Nico Greutmann, r\u00e9v\u00e9lation en EMX250, effectue ses premiers tours en MXGP sur son circuit de maison.<\/p>\n

MX2 : McLellan et L\u00e4ngenfelder, la bataille du dur commence ici<\/h3>\n

En MX2, Camden McLellan (Triumph Factory Racing) arrive avec la plaque rouge et deux petits points d’avance sur Simon L\u00e4ngenfelder. Le contexte est limpide : le Sud-Africain a montr\u00e9 une vitesse sup\u00e9rieure sur terrain meuble. Frauenfeld, c’est l’antith\u00e8se. Le terrain dur, compact, les appuis fermes \u2014 voil\u00e0 pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment le domaine de L\u00e4ngenfelder, qui a remport\u00e9 ses trois derni\u00e8res manches compl\u00e8tes sur ce circuit. Si McLellan et son co\u00e9quipier Guillem Farres (3e au g\u00e9n\u00e9ral) ne haussent pas leur niveau sur la pelouse, la dynamique du championnat pourrait rapidement s’inverser.<\/p>\n

Derri\u00e8re, le danger vient de partout. Sacha Coenen (Red Bull KTM) a sign\u00e9 les deux meilleurs chronos des qualifications cette saison, sans encore confirmer en course ici. Mathis Valin (Kawasaki), 5e au g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, dispute son premier Swiss GP apr\u00e8s avoir manqu\u00e9 l’\u00e9dition 2025 \u2014 mais ses performances en EMX250 sur cette piste (un 1er et un 2e) laissent pr\u00e9sager une belle entr\u00e9e en mati\u00e8re. Janis Reisulis (Monster Energy Yamaha), r\u00e9v\u00e9lation rookie de la saison, et Liam Everts (Nestaan Husqvarna) \u2014 3e en 2024, 2e en 2025 \u2014 sont tous deux en embuscade pour un premier succ\u00e8s.<\/p>\n

Les championnats EMX se poursuivent<\/strong><\/p>\n

L’EMX250 accueille 71 pilotes pour son deuxi\u00e8me round, avec le leader Francisco Garcia (Kawasaki) qui tentera de conforter ses 12 points d’avance. Le Su\u00e9dois August Frisk, double vainqueur ici en 2025, pourrait faire mentir les rangs pour l’\u00e9quipe KTM Kullen 1502. En EMX125, l’Autrichien Moritz Ernecker (KTM Norman Rookies) d\u00e9fend son avance d’un point dans ce qui s’annonce comme le championnat le plus disput\u00e9 de l’ann\u00e9e. L’espoir local Ryan Oppliger, bien connu pour ses d\u00e9parts fulgurants, sera \u00e0 surveiller sur sa piste de maison.<\/p>\n

M\u00e9t\u00e9o et inconnues<\/strong><\/p>\n

Le bulletin m\u00e9t\u00e9o annonce des temp\u00e9ratures basses et une possibilit\u00e9 de neige. Sur un terrain qui se transforme radicalement selon l’humidit\u00e9, cela pourrait redistribuer les cartes.
