D\u2019abord actif en motocross, il s\u2019est progressivement sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9 dans les courses sur sable, o\u00f9 son pilotage fluide et sa vitesse sur les longues manches ont rapidement fait la diff\u00e9rence.<\/p>\n<p>Son palmar\u00e8s parle pour lui :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Quadruple vainqueur de l\u2019Enduropale du Touquet<\/li>\n<li>Multiple champion de France des Sables<\/li>\n<li>Plusieurs succ\u00e8s sur la mythique Weston Beach Race<\/li>\n<li>R\u00e9f\u00e9rence mondiale des \u00e9preuves de sable depuis plusieurs saisons<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Au sein du Championnat de France des Sables, Kellett a marqu\u00e9 l\u2019\u00e8re Yamaha. Arriv\u00e9 chez Drag\u2019on Tek en 2018, il a transform\u00e9 la Yamaha en machine quasi imbattable sur les plages fran\u00e7aises. Sa collaboration avec la marque japonaise a permis de construire l\u2019une des dominations les plus fortes de l\u2019histoire r\u00e9cente du CFS.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pourquoi Honda ?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Le transfert vers Honda SR Motoblouz marque un tournant majeur. L\u2019\u00e9quipe fran\u00e7aise, d\u00e9j\u00e0 r\u00e9f\u00e9rence dans le sable avec des pilotes comme Cyril Genot, cherchait depuis longtemps \u00e0 r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer le num\u00e9ro 1 mondial. Dans son communiqu\u00e9, Honda SR Motoblouz explique que Kellett utilisera l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 pour adapter la moto \u00e0 ses pr\u00e9f\u00e9rences avant un premier rendez-vous pr\u00e9vu au Maroc en septembre, avant le lancement du championnat de France des Sables.<\/p>\n<p>La r\u00e9action de Todd Kellett n\u2019a pas tard\u00e9 apr\u00e8s l\u2019annonce. Sur ses r\u00e9seaux sociaux, le Britannique a simplement publi\u00e9 : \u201cNew chapter.\u201d<br \/>\nDeux mots qui r\u00e9sument parfaitement l\u2019importance de ce changement dans sa carri\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Un d\u00e9fi \u00e9norme pour Honda<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ce transfert est aussi un message fort envoy\u00e9 au paddock. Honda SR Motoblouz ne cache plus ses ambitions : r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer durablement la couronne du sable et mettre fin \u00e0 l\u2019image de Yamaha comme r\u00e9f\u00e9rence absolue de la discipline.
