La sixi\u00e8me \u00e9dition du BEX de Mons a confirm\u00e9 la mont\u00e9e en puissance de l\u2019\u00e9preuve hennuy\u00e8re. Sous une m\u00e9t\u00e9o changeante, avec une pluie venue compliquer la fin de la premi\u00e8re manche de trois heures avant d\u2019arroser une bonne partie de la seconde manche de deux heures, le club organisateur pouvait afficher sa satisfaction au moment du bilan. Le public avait r\u00e9pondu pr\u00e9sent, avec une affluence sup\u00e9rieure aux ann\u00e9es pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes, preuve de l\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat grandissant autour de l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement.<\/p>\n

En piste, la course a offert un beau spectacle aussi bien chez les \u00e9quipages que dans la cat\u00e9gorie Solo, particuli\u00e8rement fournie cette ann\u00e9e. Apr\u00e8s une bataille intense, c\u2019est finalement Brieuc Fraselle qui s\u2019est impos\u00e9 en solitaire. Dorian Tourneur semblait pourtant bien parti pour d\u00e9crocher la deuxi\u00e8me place avant de lourdement chuter \u00e0 deux tours de l\u2019arriv\u00e9e, l\u2019obligeant \u00e0 abandonner. Jusqu\u2019au premier relais, il \u00e9tait rest\u00e9 \u00e0 seulement quinze secondes du leader. Fraselle a \u00e9galement marqu\u00e9 les esprits en occupant une superbe quatri\u00e8me place au classement scratch apr\u00e8s les trois premi\u00e8res heures de course, au milieu de pr\u00e8s de 90 \u00e9quipages engag\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

Au g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, Hugo Stiennes et le jeune Leny Ristuccia ont d\u00e9croch\u00e9 la victoire au terme d\u2019une prestation solide et rapide. Habitu\u00e9 \u00e0 rouler avec Frank Rougraff, vainqueur de l\u2019\u00e9dition pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente mais bless\u00e9 cette ann\u00e9e, Stiennes avait finalement fait appel \u00e0 Ristuccia, seulement \u00e2g\u00e9 de 15 ans. Le duo a parfaitement fonctionn\u00e9 pour aller chercher le succ\u00e8s.<\/p>\n

Le d\u00e9but d\u2019\u00e9preuve avait pourtant tourn\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019avantage de Theo Persyn et Jonas Hannart, auteurs du holeshot et leaders des premiers tours. Mais Hugo Stiennes a rapidement pris les commandes avant d\u2019imposer son rythme. Stiennes et Hannart auront d\u2019ailleurs sign\u00e9 les chronos les plus rapides en piste tout au long de la journ\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

La deuxi\u00e8me place s\u2019est jou\u00e9e sur des d\u00e9tails. Apr\u00e8s avoir repris la t\u00eate, Stiennes a d\u00fb repasser par les stands pour un changement de lunettes sous la pluie. Une entr\u00e9e trop rapide dans la zone technique a co\u00fbt\u00e9 une quarantaine de secondes \u00e0 son \u00e9quipier Leny Ristuccia au moment du relais, permettant \u00e0 Lucas Favresse et Louis Hermand de revenir dans la lutte. Ces derniers terminent finalement deuxi\u00e8mes apr\u00e8s une course tr\u00e8s r\u00e9guli\u00e8re.<\/p>\n

Derri\u00e8re eux, Theo Persyn et Jonas Hannart compl\u00e8tent le podium apr\u00e8s avoir longtemps anim\u00e9 les d\u00e9bats. Le retour de Kiligan Delroeux a \u00e9galement retenu l\u2019attention : tr\u00e8s rapide sur un tour, il a d\u00e9montr\u00e9 qu\u2019il n\u2019avait rien perdu de sa pointe de vitesse. Lucas Hermand s\u2019est montr\u00e9 particuli\u00e8rement incisif lui aussi, tandis que Dylan Gilson et Maxime Colson ont sign\u00e9 une prestation solide dans des conditions rendues d\u00e9licates par la m\u00e9t\u00e9o.<\/p>\n

L\u2019\u00e9preuve aura \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 marqu\u00e9e par plusieurs belles histoires. Kylian Gillard (photo ci-dessus), seulement 13 ans, \u00e9tait le plus jeune engag\u00e9 du plateau et disputait sa toute premi\u00e8re course en 125cc alors qu\u2019il roule encore habituellement en 85cc. Enfin, le public a \u00e9galement encourag\u00e9 l\u2019unique repr\u00e9sentante f\u00e9minine de l\u2019\u00e9preuve, Vanille Vynckier, qui participait le jour de son anniversaire.<\/p>\n
