Il aura fallu du sang et de la sueur mais Jeffrey Herlings a finalement sign\u00e9 une \u00e9clatante 115e victoire en Grand Prix lors du rendez-vous fran\u00e7ais du championnat MXGP. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une courte victoire dans la seconde manche, le pilote HRC a pris le dessus sur Lucas Coenen, vainqueur de la premi\u00e8re manche, au terme d’un duel sans piti\u00e9 entre les deux hommes. Devant son public, Romain Febvre est mont\u00e9 sur la troisi\u00e8me marche du podium, juste devant Kay de Wolf.<\/p>\n

Lucas Coenen a men\u00e9 la premi\u00e8re manche de bout en bout. D’abord devant son co\u00e9quipier chez KTM Andrea Adamo puis tr\u00e8s vite devant son plus proche poursuivant dans la course au titre, Jeffrey Herlings. Le quintuple champion du monde ne parviendra pas \u00e0 prendre le meilleur sur notre compatriote et terminera sous le drapeau \u00e0 damiers \u00e0 10 secondes de Coenen. Tim Gajser arrive ensuite devant Kay de Wolf et Andrea Adamo.<\/p>\n

On assiste ensuite \u00e0 un tir group\u00e9 des Fran\u00e7ais avec Maxime Renaux devant le champion du monde en titre Romain Febvre et Tom Vialle.<\/p>\n

Une deuxi\u00e8me manche interrompue<\/strong><\/p>\n

La seconde manche a d\u00e9but\u00e9 sous de tr\u00e8s mauvais auspices. Tom Vialle est parti trop large dans l\u2019un des premiers virages, provoquant une r\u00e9action en cha\u00eene qui a \u00e9limin\u00e9 plusieurs pilotes, dont Tim Gajser et Brent Van Doninck. La direction de course a imm\u00e9diatement sorti le drapeau rouge afin de neutraliser l\u2019\u00e9preuve.<\/p>\n

Au moment du second d\u00e9part, ni Gajser ni Vialle n\u2019\u00e9taient en mesure de reprendre la piste en raison des d\u00e9g\u00e2ts subis par leurs motos. Le r\u00e8glement interdisant l\u2019utilisation d\u2019une machine de r\u00e9serve pourrait ainsi avoir un impact important sur la lutte pour le championnat.<\/p>\n

Lors de la relance, Kay de Wolf a sign\u00e9 le holeshot, mais Jeffrey Herlings s\u2019est montr\u00e9 particuli\u00e8rement incisif. Le pilote KTM a pris la t\u00eate d\u00e8s le troisi\u00e8me virage avant d\u2019imposer son rythme. Derri\u00e8re lui, Lucas Coenen s\u2019est d\u00e9barrass\u00e9 de De Wolf dans le quatri\u00e8me virage pour s\u2019installer en deuxi\u00e8me position.<\/p>\n

Longtemps troisi\u00e8me, Kay de Wolf a d\u00fb r\u00e9sister aux attaques de Maxime Renaux et surtout de Romain Febvre. Port\u00e9 par les encouragements du public fran\u00e7ais, Febvre a d\u2019abord d\u00e9pass\u00e9 Renaux avant de revenir sur De Wolf. Le Fran\u00e7ais a trouv\u00e9 l\u2019ouverture \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur pour s\u2019emparer de la troisi\u00e8me place.<\/p>\n

De Wolf a tent\u00e9 de r\u00e9pliquer imm\u00e9diatement et a repris l\u2019avantage pendant quelques virages, mais Febvre est revenu \u00e0 la charge et a cette fois conserv\u00e9 sa position. Peu apr\u00e8s, Maxime Renaux est lui aussi pass\u00e9 devant le pilote Husqvarna pour le gain de la quatri\u00e8me place. De Wolf a finalement termin\u00e9 cinqui\u00e8me.<\/p>\n

Duel intense entre Herlings et Coenen<\/strong><\/p>\n

En t\u00eate de course, le duel entre Herlings et Coenen est rest\u00e9 extr\u00eamement serr\u00e9 jusqu\u2019au drapeau \u00e0 damier. Le N\u00e9erlandais a finalement r\u00e9sist\u00e9 au retour du Belge pour s\u2019imposer avec moins d\u2019une seconde d\u2019avance et d\u00e9crocher sa quatri\u00e8me victoire de manche de la saison.<\/p>\n

Coenen termine deuxi\u00e8me devant Febvre, excellent troisi\u00e8me devant ses supporters. Renaux prend la quatri\u00e8me place, de Wolf la cinqui\u00e8me, suivi de Ruben Fernandez et Andrea Adamo.<\/p>\n

Au classement provisoire du championnat MXGP, Lucas Coenen conserve la plaque rouge de leader avec 286 points. Toutefois, son avance sur Jeffrey Herlings a fondu de moiti\u00e9 ce week-end puisqu’elle est pass\u00e9 de 4 \u00e0 2 unit\u00e9s seulement, malgr\u00e9 un excellent week-end de la part de notre compatriote.<\/p>\n

Romain Febvre profite quant \u00e0 lui de l\u2019abandon de Tim Gajser pour grimper \u00e0 la troisi\u00e8me place du classement avec 231 points. Gajser recule au quatri\u00e8me rang avec 223 points, tandis que Tom Vialle compl\u00e8te d\u00e9sormais le top 5. Maxime Renaux remonte \u00e0 la sixi\u00e8me position avec 218 points. Kay de Wolf occupe la septi\u00e8me place avec 187 points.<\/p>\n

La suite d\u00e8s la semaine prochaine sur la piste de Teutschenthal, en Allemagne. Ce sera le 7\u00e8me GP de la saison.<\/p>\n
