En Lettonie, Lucas Coenen a remport\u00e9 les deux manches du week-end. Comme \u00e0 Teutschenthal, Jeffrey Herlings a \u00e9t\u00e9 victime d’un probl\u00e8me m\u00e9canique, permettant \u00e0 Coenen d’accro\u00eetre consid\u00e9rablement son avance au classement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral. Kay de Wolf et Romain Febvre ont \u00e9galement termin\u00e9 sur le podium.<\/p>\n

Lucas Coenen a pris les commandes de la premi\u00e8re manche devant Romain Febvre et Jeffrey Herlings. Derri\u00e8re eux suivaient le pilote local Pauls Jonass, Kay de Wolf et Tim Gajser. Andrea Bonacorsi \u00e9tait absent apr\u00e8s sa lourde chute lors des qualifications de la veille.<\/p>\n

Coenen a rapidement creus\u00e9 l’\u00e9cart tandis que ses poursuivants se livraient bataille. Febvre, Herlings puis De Wolf roulaient pratiquement roue dans roue. Herlings a tent\u00e9 \u00e0 plusieurs reprises de d\u00e9passer Febvre, mais le Fran\u00e7ais a r\u00e9sist\u00e9. Apr\u00e8s dix tours, le N\u00e9erlandais est finalement parvenu \u00e0 prendre l’avantage. Quelques instants plus tard, Kay de Wolf a lui aussi d\u00e9pass\u00e9 Febvre.<\/p>\n

Port\u00e9 par son \u00e9lan, De Wolf a ensuite d\u00e9bord\u00e9 Herlings pour s’emparer de la deuxi\u00e8me place. Lucas Coenen s’est impos\u00e9 devant Kay de Wolf, Jeffrey Herlings et Romain Febvre. Apr\u00e8s la course, un Coenen visiblement agac\u00e9 a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 avoir d\u00fb g\u00e9rer un probl\u00e8me d’embrayage dans les derniers tours. Heureusement pour lui, cela ne l’a pas emp\u00each\u00e9 de d\u00e9crocher la victoire.<\/p>\n

Nouveau coup dur pour Herlings<\/strong><\/p>\n

Le champion du monde en titre Romain Febvre a sign\u00e9 le holeshot, mais Lucas Coenen a rapidement pris la t\u00eate de mani\u00e8re autoritaire. Jeffrey Herlings s’est aussit\u00f4t plac\u00e9 dans sa roue et s’est install\u00e9 en deuxi\u00e8me position. Derri\u00e8re eux se trouvaient Febvre, Jonass, Gajser, Oliver et De Wolf.<\/p>\n

Jago Geerts a r\u00e9ussi un excellent d\u00e9part depuis la dixi\u00e8me place et a imm\u00e9diatement gagn\u00e9 deux positions. D\u00e8s le quatri\u00e8me tour, Maxime Renaux a d\u00fb abandonner \u00e0 cause d’une panne m\u00e9canique.<\/p>\n

Herlings semblait avoir trouv\u00e9 un meilleur rythme et tentait de revenir sur Coenen. Febvre se rapprochait \u00e9galement et mettait la pression sur le N\u00e9erlandais afin de revenir sur le leader belge.<\/p>\n

Puis un nouveau coup dur a frapp\u00e9 Herlings : comme la semaine pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente en Allemagne, sa Honda est tomb\u00e9e en panne et il a \u00e9t\u00e9 contraint \u00e0 l’abandon, perdant \u00e0 nouveau de pr\u00e9cieux points au championnat. Febvre a alors r\u00e9cup\u00e9r\u00e9 la deuxi\u00e8me place, \u00e0 environ quatre secondes de Coenen.<\/p>\n

Malgr\u00e9 la pression exerc\u00e9e par le Fran\u00e7ais dans les derniers tours, Lucas Coenen est rest\u00e9 imperturbable et a remport\u00e9 \u00e9galement cette deuxi\u00e8me manche. Febvre a termin\u00e9 deuxi\u00e8me devant Kay de Wolf.<\/p>\n

Le week-end a donc \u00e9t\u00e9 parfait pour Lucas Coenen, vainqueur des qualifications ainsi que des deux manches. Il compte d\u00e9sormais 62 points d’avance sur le malchanceux Jeffrey Herlings au championnat.<\/p>\n

Un week-end historique pour les fr\u00e8res Coenen<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ce week-end marque \u00e9galement une \u00e9tape importante pour les fr\u00e8res Coenen : ils ont remport\u00e9 toutes les manches disput\u00e9es en Lettonie dans leurs cat\u00e9gories respectives. Nos deux compatriotes \u00e9crivent ainsi une nouvelle page de l’histoire du motocross.<\/p>\n

Les pilotes du MXGP vont \u00e0 pr\u00e9sent profiter d’une semaine de repos. La prochaine \u00e9preuve aura lieu dans deux semaines \u00e0 Montevarchi, en Italie.<\/p>\n
