D\u00e9j\u00e0 vainqueur de 19 GP en Italie au cours de sa carri\u00e8re, Jeffrey Herlings arrivait \u00e0 Montevarchi ce week-end avec la ferme intention de renouer avec la victoire. Mission accomplie. Le N\u00e9erlandais s’est impos\u00e9 ce dimanche apr\u00e8s-midi sur le trac\u00e9 italien. Il devance notre compatriote Lucas Coenen et Maxime Renaux. Andrea Adamo et Romain Febvre compl\u00e8tent le top-5.<\/p>\n

Vainqueur hier de sa premi\u00e8re manche qualificative de la saison – la toute premi\u00e8re avec Yamaha -, Tim Gajser entretenait lui aussi de grandes ambitions pour ce retour du MXGP sur la piste de Montevarchi. Le Slov\u00e8ne est toujours comme chez lui en Italie et sa victoire samedi apr\u00e8s-midi avait forc\u00e9ment augment\u00e9 consid\u00e9rablement son capital confiance alors qu’il court toujours derri\u00e8re un premier succ\u00e8s en GP avec les Bleus.<\/p>\n

H\u00e9las, un probl\u00e8me de roue avant en tout d\u00e9but de premi\u00e8re manche a rapidement fait d\u00e9chanter le quintuple champion du monde. Un passage forc\u00e9 par les pits l’a contraint \u00e0 se lancer dans une course poursuite qui s’est termin\u00e9e sans le moindre point, en 21\u00e8me position, loin derri\u00e8re les leaders. Devant, c’est Herlings qui a men\u00e9 de bout en bout alors que son co\u00e9quipier Tom Vialle a rapidement c\u00e9d\u00e9 la seconde place \u00e0 son compatriote Maxime Renaux. Lucas Coenen revenait pour sa part de la 10\u00e8me position au premier tour \u00e0 la 3\u00e8me place sous le drapeau \u00e0 damiers. Calvin Vlaanderen a quant \u00e0 lui pris la 4\u00e8me place devant Tom Vialle d\u00e8s la mi-course pour ne plus la quitter.<\/p>\n

Tim Gajser prend sa revanche<\/strong><\/p>\n

La seconde manche a \u00e9t\u00e9 l’occasion pour Tim Gajser de prendre sa revanche. Alors qu’Andrea Adamo, septi\u00e8me en premi\u00e8re manche, enflammait le public italien en menant le d\u00e9but de course, Gajser le d\u00e9bordait rapidement pour s’installer aux commandes de la course devant Herlings en Coenen. Les 3 hommes termineront dans cet ordre alors qu’Adamo parviendra \u00e0 conserver la 4\u00e8me place devant le champion du monde en titre Romain Febvre et, juste derri\u00e8re, Maxime Renaux.<\/p>\n

Jago Geerts, seul autre Belge engag\u00e9 ce dimanche suite \u00e0 la blessure au dos hier apr\u00e8s-midi de Brent Van Doninck, termine les manches aux 12\u00e8me et 15\u00e8me places.<\/p>\n

Au g\u00e9n\u00e9ral du jour, Herlings remporte le GP et r\u00e9ussit donc le pari de retrouver la plus haute marche du podium apr\u00e8s plusieurs GP compliqu\u00e9s. Il devance Lucas Coenen \u00e0 qui il reprend 7 points au provisoire pour se rapprocher \u00e0 56 points de la plaque rouge. Maxime Renaux compl\u00e8te le podium.<\/p>\n
