Le Grand Prix de Grande-Bretagne laissera un go\u00fbt amer \u00e0 Lucas Coenen, mais aussi une note d’optimisme pour les deux fr\u00e8res belges. Handicap\u00e9 par une blessure contract\u00e9e d\u00e8s la course qualificative, le leader du championnat MXGP est reparti bredouille de Foxhills. Son fr\u00e8re Sacha, lui, a sign\u00e9 une prestation encourageante en MX2 seulement six jours apr\u00e8s une op\u00e9ration de la clavicule.<\/p>\n

Tout avait pourtant mal commenc\u00e9 samedi. Victime d’un accrochage avec Maxime Renaux dans le deuxi\u00e8me virage de la manche qualificative, Lucas Coenen quittait violemment la piste avant de terminer sa course contre une cl\u00f4ture. La chute lui occasionnait une blessure \u00e0 la jambe gauche qui allait compromettre tout son week-end britannique.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Contraint de partir depuis la 29e place sur la grille dimanche, le pilote Red Bull KTM Factory Racing a tent\u00e9 de serrer les dents. Auteur d’un excellent d\u00e9part compte tenu de sa position, il remontait rapidement aux portes du top 10 avant que la douleur ne devienne insupportable. Apr\u00e8s quelques tours, il rentrait aux stands et abandonnait.<\/p>\n

Le sc\u00e9nario se r\u00e9p\u00e9tait dans la seconde manche. Malgr\u00e9 sa volont\u00e9 de d\u00e9fendre ses chances, la jambe bless\u00e9e ne lui permettait plus d’attaquer et un nouvel abandon devenait in\u00e9vitable.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Il n’y a pas grand-chose \u00e0 dire sur ce week-end. Je n’ai pas eu de chance avec la collision avec Maxime samedi. Ensuite, je me suis retrouv\u00e9 dans une barri\u00e8re apr\u00e8s un gros talus. Je me suis bless\u00e9 \u00e0 la jambe et c’\u00e9tait pratiquement impossible de rouler apr\u00e8s \u00e7a. Il ne nous reste plus qu’\u00e0 essayer de rebondir \u00e0 Loket \u00bb, r\u00e9sumait sobrement le leader du provisoire MXGP.<\/p>\n

Si le bilan comptable est nul, Lucas conserve en effet makgr\u00e9 tout la plaque rouge avec 11 points d’avance sur Herlings. Une situation qui lui permet d’aborder les prochains rendez-vous avec toutes les cartes en main, \u00e0 condition de retrouver rapidement l’int\u00e9gralit\u00e9 de ses moyens physiques.<\/p>\n

Sacha Coenen impressionne <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00c0 l’inverse, la prestation de Sacha Coenen constitue sans doute la meilleure nouvelle du clan KTM ce week-end.<\/p>\n

Victime d’une fracture de la clavicule lors de sa victoire \u00e0 Southwick, aux \u00c9tats-Unis, Sacha avait subi une intervention chirurgicale avec la pose d’une plaque m\u00e9tallique seulement six jours avant Foxhills. Sa pr\u00e9sence au d\u00e9part relevait d\u00e9j\u00e0 presque de l’exploit.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Prudent d\u00e8s les premiers essais, Sacha ne cherchait pas \u00e0 prendre de risques inutiles. Dixi\u00e8me de la premi\u00e8re manche apr\u00e8s une mauvaise sortie de grille et une chute, il \u00e9levait nettement son niveau lors de la seconde course. Bien parti, il occupait la troisi\u00e8me position durant une vingtaine de minutes avant de pr\u00e9f\u00e9rer assurer une solide cinqui\u00e8me place jusqu’\u00e0 l’arriv\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

\u00ab C’\u00e9tait un week-end assez fou. Avec cette blessure, je ne savais m\u00eame pas si je pourrais prendre le d\u00e9part. Finalement, cela s’est plut\u00f4t bien pass\u00e9. Je ne me sentais pas \u00e0 100 %, mais les sensations \u00e9taient correctes. Dans la premi\u00e8re manche, j’ai rat\u00e9 mon d\u00e9part puis j’ai chut\u00e9. Dans la seconde, je suis parti deuxi\u00e8me, j’ai roul\u00e9 troisi\u00e8me pendant vingt minutes et ensuite je n’ai pas voulu prendre de risques. Ce sont de bons points pour le championnat. \u00bb<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Avec une huiti\u00e8me place au classement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral et 34 points inscrits, le vice-champion du monde en titre limite parfaitement les d\u00e9g\u00e2ts. Plus important encore, il ne compte plus que 11 points de retard sur le leader du championnat MX2 avant une s\u00e9rie de courses qui pourrait lui \u00eatre plus favorable.<\/p>\n

Le prochain rendez-vous, d\u00e8s le week-end prochain \u00e0 Loket en R\u00e9publique tch\u00e8que, sera d\u00e9j\u00e0 d\u00e9terminant. Pour Lucas, l’objectif sera de retrouver une condition physique suffisante afin de d\u00e9fendre sa plaque rouge.
