Kevin Strijbos a domin\u00e9 ce dimanche la 44\u00e8me \u00e9dition du motocross international de Wuustwezel. Devant son public, et malgr\u00e9 une opposition compos\u00e9e de pilotes tels que Roelants, Leok, Guarneri, Boog, ou De Reuver, l’officiel Suzuki n’a fait qu’une bouch\u00e9e de ses adversaires et s’est impos\u00e9 dans les deux manches du jour. En MX2, c’est Jeffrey Herlings qui a sign\u00e9 le doubl\u00e9 \u00e0 Wuustwezel.<\/p>\n

Kevin Strijbos \u00e9tait intouchable cet apr\u00e8s-midi sur le circuit sablonneux du Molenberg. Dans la premi\u00e8re manche, le soci\u00e9taire de l’AMC Wuustwezel faisait entendre raison tour \u00e0 tour \u00e0 Shaun Simpson puis \u00e0 Jo\u00ebl Roelants pour s’installer aux commandes de la course d\u00e8s le 3\u00e8me tour. Il ne quittera plus cette premi\u00e8re place pour s’imposer avec une petite vingtaine de secondes d’avance sur Jo\u00ebl Roelants. En lutte avec notre compatriote durant la premi\u00e8re moiti\u00e9 de la course pour la seconde place, Shaun Simpson chutait \u00e0 4 tours de l’arriv\u00e9e et se blessait \u00e0 la main. Le Britannique laissait donc la 3\u00e8me place \u00e0 Davide Guarneri. Revenu de la 8\u00e8me place, Marc De Reuver termine quatri\u00e8me devant les pilotes 24MX Honda Xavier Boog et Jens Getteman.<\/p>\n

Dans la seconde manche, le choses furent plus facile encore pour Strijbos. Le pilote Suzuki prenait en effet la t\u00eate d\u00e8s le premier tour pour ne jamais \u00eatre inqui\u00e9t\u00e9. Derri\u00e8re, c’est \u00e0 nouveau Jo\u00ebl Roelants qui est le plus rapide. Le pilote Honda termine \u00e0 5 secondes de Strijbos, loin devant Tanel Leok, contraint \u00e0 l’abandon en premi\u00e8re manche et donc 3\u00e8me dans cette seconde course de la journ\u00e9e apr\u00e8s avoir pris le meilleur sur Davide Guarneri. Boog et Getteman terminent 5 et 6\u00e8mes.<\/p>\n

Au g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, c’est \u00e9videmment Kevin Strijbos qui triomphent devant un public acquis \u00e0 sa cause. Il est accompagn\u00e9 sur le podium par Jo\u00ebl Roelants et Davide Guarneri. Les r\u00e9guliers Boog et Getteman compl\u00e8tent le top-5.<\/p>\n

MX2: Herlings donne la le\u00e7on<\/strong><\/p>\n

En MX2, et sans surprise, Jeffrey Herlings a donn\u00e9 la le\u00e7on \u00e0 ses adversaires du jour. A 40 secondes dans la premi\u00e8re manche puis \u00e0 plus d’une minute dans la seconde, m\u00eame le Fran\u00e7ais Romain F\u00e8bvre n’a rien pu faire pour inqui\u00e9ter le double champion du monde. Le nouveau champion de France de la cat\u00e9gorie, Damon Graulus, compl\u00e8te le podium du jour alors que Harri Kullas et Aleksandr Tonkov compl\u00e8tent le top-5.<\/p>\n

Dans la \u00ab\u00a0Motorgazet Superpole\u00a0\u00bb, dans laquelle les 10 meilleurs chronos des essais matinaux avaient l’occasion de se battre contre le chrono sur un tour, Kevin Strijbos \u00e9tait \u00e9videmment le favori du public. Et pourtant, le pilote de Wuustwezel n’est pas parvenu \u00e0 emp\u00eacher Shaun Simpson et l’in\u00e9vitable Jeffrey Herlings, sur sa petite 250 SX-F, de le pr\u00e9c\u00e9der. Le Hollandais devance Simpson de 8 petits milli\u00e8mes de seconde !<\/p>\n

Du spectacle en 85cc, Mazzoni \u00e0 nouveau en t\u00eate chez les Espoirs<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dans les autres cat\u00e9gories, la cat\u00e9gorie 85cc a livr\u00e9 une premi\u00e8re manche particuli\u00e8rement spectaculaire avec un superbe duel entre les prometteurs Jago Geerts et Jorge Prado. Notre compatriote termine sur un tr\u00e8s beau doubl\u00e9 devant le pilote espagnol.<\/p>\n

Chez les Espoirs, la lutte continue entre Boris Mazzoni (5+4) et R\u00e9mi Fraikin (18+8), malchanceux en premi\u00e8re manche. Le Bastognard avait perdu \u00e0 Axel la t\u00eate du championnat au profit du Li\u00e9geois mais profite \u00e0 son tour du week-end en demi-teinte de Fraikin pour reprendre la t\u00eate du classement provisoire du championnat. Mike Roose (4+7) occupe pour sa part toujours la 3\u00e8me position.<\/p>\n
