Alors que 450 pilotes \u00e9taient au d\u00e9part 3 jours plus t\u00f4t pour l’\u00e9preuve de Cherain disput\u00e9e le jeudi de l’Ascension, ils \u00e9taient 100 de moins ce dimanche derri\u00e8re la grille de d\u00e9part du motocross de Mellier, 3\u00e8me \u00e9preuve du championnat d’\u00e9t\u00e9 de l’AMPL. La proximit\u00e9 des examens pour les uns, la nature du circuit de Mellier, tr\u00e8s pierreux \u00e0 certains endroits et exigeant tant techniquement que physiquement, pour les autres expliquent sans doute cette affluence moins \u00e9lev\u00e9e qu’\u00e0 l’habitude pour le championnat AMPL. Mais les absents ont eu tort car le club organisateur n’avait pas m\u00e9nag\u00e9 ses efforts pour pr\u00e9parer au mieux son circuit et, si la poussi\u00e8re \u00e9tait omnipr\u00e9sente au matin, des arrosages efficaces ont permis de la ma\u00eetriser pour les courses l’apr\u00e8s-midi. Sans oublier une m\u00e9t\u00e9o estivale qui rend toujours les courses plus agr\u00e9ables !<\/p>\n

J\u00e9r\u00f4me Martiny monte sur la 3\u00e8me marche du podium \u00e0 Mellier.<\/p><\/div>\n

Comme dans les 2 \u00e9preuves pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes, Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Weigert s’impose dans les 2 manches \u00e0 Mellier. M\u00eame une petite chute en premi\u00e8re manche qui l’a contraint \u00e0 laisser le leadership un bref instant \u00e0 Jordan Hebette (2+2) n’a pas suffi \u00e0 d\u00e9stabiliser le pilote WJM. Deux fois second, Hebette monte sur la deuxi\u00e8me marche du podium devant un surprenant J\u00e9r\u00f4me Martiny, qui profite de bons d\u00e9parts pour prendre la 3\u00e8me place \u00e0 2 reprises. Thomas Vilvorder (5+5) et Steve Thielens (8+4) compl\u00e8tent le top-5 et signent \u00e0 Mellier leur meilleur r\u00e9sultat cette saison. Johnny Magen termine 6\u00e8me devant 3 des favoris de la cat\u00e9gorie, Steve Piret, Renaud G\u00e9rard et Eric Hubin. Des contre-performances qui permettent \u00e0 Weigert de prendre d\u00e8j\u00e0 une confortable avance au classement provisoire du championnat.<\/p>\n
