Premi\u00e8re sortie officielle sur la Honda du team Martin et premi\u00e8re victoire pour Kevin Strijbos! Notre compatriote n’a pas fait dans le d\u00e9tail ce week-end en Italie, à Mantova, o\u00f9 le traditionnel Starcross marquait l’ouverture de la saison internationale, puisqu’il s’est carr\u00e9ment impos\u00e9 dans les 3 manches du jour. Seul Jonathan Barragan semblait en mesure de lui voler la victoire en seconde manche mais une petite chute du pilote KTM a permis à Strijbos de r\u00e9aliser le sans-faute et de remporter le g\u00e9n\u00e9ral devant l’Espagnol et l’Allemand Max Nagl.<\/span><\/p>\n

Invisible la saison pass\u00e9e au guidon de la Kawasaki du team GPKR, Kevin Strijbos semble avoir retrouv\u00e9 tout son potentiel en passant sur la Honda 450 CR-F des italiens de chez Martin. A moins de 2 mois du premier GP de la saison à Faenza, Strijbos annonce la couleur: il faudra compter avec lui pour le titre cette saison!<\/p>\n

Second des qualifications derri\u00e8re Nagl puis vainqueur des 3 manches le lendemain, notre compatriote a fait preuve d’une r\u00e9gularit\u00e9 que peu d’autres pilotes, encore souvent en manque de roulage à ce moment de l’ann\u00e9e, ont \u00e9t\u00e9 en mesure de revendiquer. Finalement, seuls Barragan (4+2+3) et Nagl (3+3+4) ont su aligner 3 bonnes manches, les autres alternant le bon et le moins bon, comme De Dycker, De Reuver ou Philippaerts.<\/p>\n

Comme toujours lors des courses d’avant-saison, Steve Ramon s’est montr\u00e9 tr\u00e8s prudent mais a n\u00e9anmoins point\u00e9 le nez dans le top-5 en derni\u00e8re manche, tandis que Desalle signait une tr\u00e8s belle premi\u00e8re manche qu’il terminait en 6\u00e8me position.<\/p>\n

A Mantova, c’\u00e9tait \u00e9galement la premi\u00e8re sortie de Manuel Priem sur l’Aprilia. Apr\u00e8s un samedi plut\u00f4t d\u00e9cevant, notre compatriote se rassurait le dimanche en prenant la 11\u00e8me place en premi\u00e8re manche. Enfin, notons le week-end noir de Cairoli. Pour son retour à la comp\u00e9tition et son entr\u00e9e officielle en MX1, l’Italien est pass\u00e9 compl\u00e8tement à c\u00f4t\u00e9 de son sujet et abandonne à 2 reprises. <\/p>\n

M\u00e9lang\u00e9s aux pilotes MX1, les pilotes MX2 n’ont pas eu la t\u00e0\u00a2che facile dans le sable lourd et humide de Mantova. N\u00e9anmoins, Shaun Simpson confirme les espoirs plac\u00e9s en lui en r\u00e9alisant un 8+7+9 qui lui permet de monter sur la premi\u00e8re marche du podium MX2, devant ses co\u00e9quipiers Rui Goncalves et Marcus Schiffer. En MX2, remarquons \u00e9galement la superbe 6\u00e8me place du tout jeune Ken Roczen, qui effectuait à Mantova sa premi\u00e8re grande course internationale. Voilà qui promet!<\/p>\n
