Quelques jours avant avant ses d\u00e9buts dans le championnat MXGP, Ryan Villopoto a obtenu un vote de confiance absolue de son ami et ancien champion de MotoGP Casey Stoner. L\u2019amiti\u00e9 qui lie l\u2019Am\u00e9ricain Villopoto et l\u2019Australien date de l\u2019an dernier lorsque Stoner avait assist\u00e9 aux Etats-Unis aux derni\u00e8res \u00e9preuves du championnat AMA de Supercross.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Je suis la carri\u00e8re de Villopoto depuis 2006 et je l\u2019ai vu faire son chemin et dominer ses concurrents mais je l\u2019ai \u00e9galement vu parfois \u00e9chouer. C\u2019\u00e9tait souvent dur pour moi de regarder du Supercross lorsque Ryan ne roulait pas! Lorsque j\u2019ai eu l\u2019occasion de le rencontrer par l\u2019interm\u00e9diaire d\u2019Aldon Baker (pr\u00e9parateur physique r\u00e9put\u00e9, NDLR), j\u2019ai imm\u00e9diatement accroch\u00e9,\u00a0\u00bb d\u00e9clare l\u2019ancien pilote Honda et Ducati.<\/p>\n

Lorsqu\u2019on lui demande de comparer les talents de pilote de Villopoto avec les siens, Stoner – qui est toujours actif en tant que pilote d\u2019essai pour le HRC – ne tarit pas d\u2019\u00e9loges: \u00ab\u00a0Je pense que Ryan est bien meilleur que moi!\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

Sur la question de savoir comment Villopoto va se d\u00e9brouiller en MXGP et notamment comment il va pouvoir battre en br\u00e8che le monopole d\u2019Antonio Cairoli, Stoner pense que Villopoto va apporter son propre niveau d\u2019intensit\u00e9 \u00e0 la comp\u00e9tition.\u00a0\u00bbJe vais essayer d\u2019\u00eatre prudent avec ce que je dis mais, honn\u00eatement, je pense que Ryan est imbattable,\u00a0\u00bb affirme l\u2019Australien.\u00a0\u00bb Je ne pense pas avoir jamais vu un tel talent dans n\u2019importe quel sport; ce qu\u2019il peut faire sur une moto est incroyable. En m\u00eame temps, c\u2019est vrai que Cairoli a surpass\u00e9 tous ses concurrents jusqu\u2019\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent mais j\u2019ai l\u2019impression que c\u2019\u00e9tait surtout \u00e0 cause d\u2019un manque de concurrence v\u00e9ritable; il n\u2019a pas du battre ses concurrents dans des bagarres d\u2019homme \u00e0 homme comme Ryan l\u2019a fait. Cairoli pouvait \u00eatre cinqui\u00e8me dans la premi\u00e8re manche et remporter la deuxi\u00e8me manche alors que si Ryan perdait la finale, la journ\u00e9e \u00e9tait d\u00e9finitivement mauvaise. Ryan dominait ses concurrents et lorsque ce n\u2019\u00e9tait pas le cas, c\u2019\u00e9tait parce qu\u2019il \u00e9tait coinc\u00e9 dans le traffic ou qu\u2019il avait rat\u00e9 son d\u00e9part, sinon il massacrait la concurrence.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

\u201cLa seule chose qui pourrait \u00eatre un peu difficile pour Ryan, c\u2019est lorsque les circuits seront boueux et que les Europ\u00e9ens ont tendance \u00e0 ne pas rouler sur le circuit proprement dit mais dans les orni\u00e8res,\u00a0\u00bb continue l\u2019Australien.\u00a0\u00bb Cela pourrait \u00eatre un peu diff\u00e9rent \u00e0 ce \u00e0 quoi il est habitu\u00e9. Ceci dit, le connaissant et connaissant son talent, je pense qu\u2019il n\u2018y aura aucun probl\u00e8me pour lui s\u2019il ne se blesse pas. Je le vois vraiment faire d\u2019excellents r\u00e9sultats d\u00e8s cette ann\u00e9e.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n
