C’est sous le soleil du Portugal que d\u00e9butait cette ann\u00e9e le Maxxis FIM WEC, le championnat du monde d’enduro. La chaleur, la poussi\u00e8re et un sol dur parsem\u00e9 de pierres ont rendu cette premi\u00e8re \u00e9preuve de la saison particuli\u00e8rement \u00e9prouvante. Des conditions difficiles qui ont permis au champion du monde en titre Johnny Aubert de faire \u00e9talage de tout son talent. Pour sa premi\u00e8re apparition en WEC au guidon de la KTM, le Fran\u00e7ais n’a pas fait dans le d\u00e9tail et remporte les 2 journ\u00e9es dans la cat\u00e9gorie reine.<\/p>\n

Aubert n’a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 le seul à r\u00e9aliser le doubl\u00e9 au Portugal puisque Mika Ahola faisait de m\u00eame en Enduro 1, tandis que Ivan Cervantes, ultra-dominateur, s’imposait lui aussi à 2 reprises en Enduro 3.
\nDu c\u00f4t\u00e9 de BMW, on notait la d\u00e9cevante 5\u00e8me place de Salminen le samedi, tandis qu’une chute du Finlandais dans la sp\u00e9ciale extr\u00eame le rel\u00e9guait à nouveau à la 6\u00e8me place le lendemain. Gu\u00e8re plus de r\u00e9ussite en Enduro 3 pour son co\u00e9quipier David Knight, seulement 6\u00e8me le samedi puis qui devait abandonner le lendemain, bless\u00e9 au genou.<\/p>\n

D’abandon, il en \u00e9tait \u00e9galement question pour Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Goblet le samedi, victime de probl\u00e8mes d’embrayage sur sa BMW. Visiblement mal à l’aise le lendemain, notre compatriote parvenait n\u00e9anmoins à accrocher le top-15, notamment gr\u00e0\u00a2ce à une belle 4\u00e8me place dans la derni\u00e8re sp\u00e9ciale extr\u00eame.<\/p>\n

Premi\u00e8re exp\u00e9rience en WEC positive pour Kevin Gauniaux<\/strong><\/p>\n

Quant à Kevin Gauniaux, qui effectuait au Portugal sa grande entr\u00e9e dans le Maxxis FIM WEC, avec une 15\u00e8me puis une 17\u00e8me place dans la cat\u00e9gorie reine du WEC, il s’en sort plut\u00f4t pas mal. \u00ab\u00a0On m’avait pr\u00e9venu que le Portugal serait une course difficile, je le confirme!\u00a0\u00bb, plaisante l’officiel GasGas. \u00ab\u00a0Les sp\u00e9ciales \u00e9taient superbes, mais aussi tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rentes de ce que l’on peut rencontrer en Belgique. Le sol \u00e9tait dur, avec beaucoup de petites pierres en surface et pas mal de poussi\u00e8re. Globalement, je pense que je me suis bien d\u00e9brouill\u00e9 et je suis satisfait de ma 14\u00e8me place au classement provisoire. Pour une premi\u00e8re, c’est pas mal, sachant qu’il s’agissait d’une premi\u00e8re exp\u00e9rience avec l’\u00e9quipe et avec mon suiveur. Le 2\u00e8me jour, j’\u00e9tais un peu court physiquement car il faisait tr\u00e8s chaud et une journ\u00e9e de mondial laisse peu de r\u00e9pit! De plus, samedi, je me suis fait mal à la cheville gauche qui avait \u00e9t\u00e9 bless\u00e9 à Hautrage l’ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re et j’en ai un peu souffert le dimanche. Aujourd’hui, ma cheville va mieux et j’arrive en Espagne, o\u00f9 se d\u00e9roule ce week-end la seconde manche du WEC. Nous allons d\u00e9buter le rep\u00e9rage…\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n
