Deux semaines apr\u00e8s avoir remport\u00e9 son premier succ\u00e8s dans la cat\u00e9gorie reine devant son public \u00e0 Villars-Sous-Ecot, Romain F\u00e8bvre remet le couvert chez Antonio Cairoli. Le Fran\u00e7ais a remport\u00e9 ce dimanche le GP de Maggiora, en Italie. Un GP disput\u00e9 pour la premi\u00e8re fois de la saison dans des conditions difficiles \u00e0 cause de la pluie et dans lequel les favoris ont souffert. Ni Nagl ni Cairoli, bless\u00e9 samedi dans la manche qualificative, ne terminent sur le podium.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Antonio Cairoli prendra-t-il le d\u00e9part ? Voil\u00e0 la question qui \u00e9tait ce dimanche matin sur toutes les l\u00e8vres dans le paddock de Maggiora. Forc\u00e9 de quitter pr\u00e9cipitemment Maggiora samedi soir pour subir des examens compl\u00e9mentaires afin de v\u00e9rifier l’\u00e9tat d’un bras tr\u00e8s douloureux, Antonio Cairoli s’est finalement pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 ce matin au warm-up, aucune fracture n’ayant \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9cel\u00e9e. Cl\u00e9ment Desalle avait pour sa part renonc\u00e9 d\u00e8s les essais \u00e0 prendre part au GP, le pilote Suzuki pr\u00e9f\u00e9rant prendre le temps de soigner un genou douloureux depuis sa chute aux essais du GP de France.<\/p>\n

Le champ semblait donc libre pour Max Nagl, leader du classement provisoire depuis le tout premier GP et vainqueur de la manche qualificative samedi apr\u00e8s-midi. Pourtant, l’Allemand ne termine pas sur le podium italien. Comme Ken De Dycker ou Gautier Paulin, l’Allemand est parti tr\u00e8s loin en premi\u00e8re manche qu’il ne termine que quinzi\u00e8me pendant que devant Romain F\u00e8bvre prenait rapidement le dessus sur un \u00e9tonnant David Philippaerts. L’ancien champion du monde parvient \u00e0 conserver cette inattendue deuxi\u00e8me place devant son public et pr\u00e9c\u00e8de Jeremy Van Horebeek et Todd Waters.<\/p>\n

Kevin Strijbos surprend Max Nagl<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dans la seconde manche, Max Nagl a soif de revanche. Il ne rate cette fois pas son d\u00e9part et s’envole en t\u00eate du petit peloton (21 pilotes seulement…) pour ne quitter la premi\u00e8re position que dans le tout dernier tour de course. Neuvi\u00e8me seulement dans la premi\u00e8re manche, Kevin Strijbos, de retour apr\u00e8s avoir d\u00fb faire l’impasse sur les GP d’Angleterre et de France, cr\u00e9ait en effet la surprise en soufflant in extremis la victoire \u00e0 l’Allemand. Les deux hommes terminent avec une avance confortable sur Gautier Paulin et Todd Waters, qui signe en Italie son meilleur GP de la saison.<\/p>\n

Quant \u00e0 Romain F\u00e8bvre, le Fran\u00e7ais est moins bien parti et chute, pliant au passage son guidon. Dans des conditions difficiles, le pilote Yamaha, qui comme son co\u00e9quipier Jeremy Van Horebeek, affichait ce dimanche les couleurs jaunes de l’\u00e9dition sp\u00e9ciale \u00ab\u00a060 ans\u00a0\u00bb pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e par la marque aux 3 diapasons pour son mill\u00e9sime 2016 de la 450 YZ-F, remonte jusqu’en 6\u00e8me position. Un r\u00e9sultat qui lui permet de profiter du manque de r\u00e9gularit\u00e9 de la plupart de ses adversaires pour remporter le classement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral devant Strijbos et Waters. Un podium pour le moins surprenant !<\/p>\n

Profitant d’un bon d\u00e9part en premi\u00e8re manche, Antonio Cairoli a trouv\u00e9 la force malgr\u00e9 la douleur de terminer 7\u00e8me alors que l’Italien faisait encore l’effort de se battre jusqu’au drapeau \u00e0 damiers pour sauver les 3 points de la 18\u00e8me place. Beau !<\/p>\n

Au championnat, Max Nagl seulement 7\u00e8me du GP, reprend malgr\u00e9 tout 11 points \u00e0 Cairoli pour compter d\u00e9sormais 30 points d’avance sur l’Italien. Derri\u00e8re les 2 hommes, c’est \u00e0 pr\u00e9sent Romain F\u00e8bvre qui occupe la 3\u00e8me position, le Fran\u00e7ais accusant un retard de 8 points seulement sur Antonio Cairoli…<\/p>\n
