Suite \u00e0 son excellent r\u00e9sultat samedi dernier (4\u00e8me), \u00e0 Unadilla lors du championnat AMA outdoor, Shaun Simpson, vainqueur du GP de Belgique \u00e0 Lommel voici une semaine, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 qu\u2019il comptait bien ne pas en rester l\u00e0 de ses aventures am\u00e9ricaines.<\/p>\n

Le pilote britannique, qui r\u00e9alise une excellente saison, s\u2019\u00e9tait vu proposer par KTM un s\u00e9rieux coup de main pour pouvoir prendre part \u00e0 la dixi\u00e8me des douze \u00e9preuves que compte le championnat am\u00e9ricain de motocross et il n\u2019a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9\u00e7u. En effet, Simpson a b\u00e9n\u00e9fici\u00e9 \u00e0 Unadilla du soutien total du team Red Bull KTM (qui va sans doute remporter le titre avec Ryan Dungey) et de son manager l\u00e9gendaire, Roger Decoster.<\/p>\n

Malgr\u00e9 un agenda charg\u00e9 qui l\u2019a fait partir pour Unadilla pratiquement dans la foul\u00e9e du GP de Belgique, Simpson \u00e9tait vraiment emball\u00e9 au soir de l\u2019\u00e9preuve am\u00e9ricaine et il a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 vouloir retourner aux Etats-Unis d\u00e8s que possible.\u00a0\u00bb J\u2019ai absolument l\u2019intention de venir \u00e0 nouveau rouler ici,\u00a0\u00bb a affirm\u00e9 le Britannique. \u00ab\u00a0En fait, je pourrais revenir plut\u00f4t en d\u00e9but d\u2019ann\u00e9e. Je dois absolument remercier KTM et KTM USA sans oublier \u00e9videmment Roger Decoster pour le soutien extraordinaire qu\u2019ils m\u2019ont prodigu\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019occasion de cette pige aux USA. J\u2019ai vraiment eu l\u2019impression de faire partie du team. J\u2019ai simplement d\u00fb venir ici avec un sac pour mes v\u00eatements et pour le reste, je n\u2019avais qu\u2019\u00e0 monter sur la moto et faire mon boulot! C\u2019\u00e9tait un privil\u00e8ge de rouler ici et c\u2019est une exp\u00e9rience que je n\u2019oublierai jamais. Je suis tellement excit\u00e9 par cette aventure que je pense d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e0 quelque chose du m\u00eame style pour l\u2019an prochain.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

Shaun Simpson: \u00ab\u00a0il y a plus d’options pour d\u00e9passer sur les circuits am\u00e9ricains\u00a0\u00bb<\/p><\/div>\n

Le pilote \u00e9cossais \u00e9tait le premier pilote europ\u00e9en depuis Cl\u00e9ment Desalle et Kevin Strijbos en 2013 – ceux-ci avaient profit\u00e9 de l\u2019annulation du GP du Mexique – \u00e0 participer \u00e0 une \u00e9preuve officielle du championnat AMA de motocross. Simpson \u00e9tait \u00e9videmment tr\u00e8s int\u00e9ress\u00e9 de conna\u00eetre les dessous de ce championnat prestigieux. \u00ab\u00a0Je pense que la mani\u00e8re dont sont pr\u00e9par\u00e9s les circuits AMA convient mieux \u00e0 mon style de pilotage mais l\u2019intensit\u00e9 lors des d\u00e9parts est plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e qu\u2019en Europe.\u00a0\u00bb explique Simpson.\u00a0\u00bb Ceci dit, il faut aussi reconna\u00eetre que tout est rendu plus facile du fait du nombre \u00e9lev\u00e9 de trajectoires disponibles et d\u00e8s lors des options possibles lors des premiers tours. On peut aller large, couper \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur ou pousser trois ou quatre pilotes vers l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur \u00e0 n\u2019importe quel endroit du circuit. Dans le championnat MXGP, il n\u2019y a la plupart du temps qu\u2019une trajectoire que tous les pilotes prennent, ce qui entra\u00eene une sorte de petit train dans les premiers tours, et ce qui fait que mettre les gaz sans \u00eatre agressif et sans \u00e9ventuellement commettre d\u2019erreurs qui te font perdre du temps, est difficile. Pour le reste, les pilotes europ\u00e9ens sont aussi rapides que les pilotes am\u00e9ricains\u2026\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
