Pour la premi\u00e8re fois en six ans, dimanche dernier \u00e0 Assen, Antonio Cairoli a d\u00fb regarder quelqu\u2019un d\u2019autre brandir le troph\u00e9e de champion du monde. En effet, le pilote sicilien \u00e9tait sur place pour assister au couronnement de Romain F\u00e9bvre qui \u00e9tait \u00e9galement le premier rookie \u00e0 devenir champion du monde dans la cat\u00e9gorie reine depuis le titre remport\u00e9 par Cairoli en 2009, \u00e9galement sur une Yamaha.<\/p>\n

Cette ann\u00e9e, le pilote KTM, \u00e2g\u00e9 de vingt-neuf ans, n\u2019a jamais men\u00e9 dans championnat qu\u2019on annon\u00e7ait comme allant \u00eatre un duel entre Cairoli et Villopoto. L\u2019Italien a remport\u00e9 deux GP, en Espagne et en Grande-Bretagne, apr\u00e8s le changement surprise de monture, soit la 450SX-F au lieu de la 350SX-F, et il est le pilote \u00e0 avoir r\u00e9alis\u00e9 le plus souvent la pole position (4) . Toutes les autres statistiques 2015 sont l\u2019apanage de F\u00e8bvre.<\/p>\n

Cairoli a \u00e9t\u00e9 particuli\u00e8rement \u00e9logieux en \u00e9voquant les performances de son rival. \u00ab\u00a0Il (F\u00e8bvre) a roul\u00e9 remarquablement et il a parfois montr\u00e9 des choses qui n\u2019appartiennent qu\u2019\u00e0 lui; c\u2019est ainsi que lorsqu\u2019il est \u00e0 l\u2019attaque, on voit vraiment la diff\u00e9rence \u00e0 certains endroits, \u00ab\u00a0 a comment\u00e9 Cairoli.\u00a0\u00bbC\u2019est clair qu\u2019il a fait de nets progr\u00e8s par rapport \u00e0 l\u2019an dernier; c\u2019est impressionnant. C\u2019est celui qui m\u00e9rite le plus le titre parce qu\u2019il a \u00e9t\u00e9 le plus r\u00e9gulier et le plus rapide.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

Beaucoup de gens disent que le fait d\u2019avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9tr\u00f4n\u00e9 en 2015 va provoquer une motivation suppl\u00e9mentaire chez Cairoli l\u2019an prochain. Publiquement, l\u2019ancien champion du monde a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 combien il \u00e9tait impatient de tester la 450SX-F pour l\u2019an prochain et d\u2019adapter la moto \u00e0 son style de pilotage.<\/p>\n

Le duel (annonc\u00e9 \u00e0 grands fracas) entre Villopoto et Cairoli n’a pas eu lieu<\/p><\/div>\n

Il est vraisemblable que Cairoli participera au moins au dernier GP \u00e0 Glen Helen dans deux semaines. En ce qui concerne le Motocross des Nations, Antonio n\u2019a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 retenu dans l\u2019\u00e9quipe italienne, la F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Italienne pr\u00e9f\u00e9rant faire confiance \u00e0 de jeunes pilotes italiens. Si David Philippaerts n\u2019a pas compris cette d\u00e9cision, les choses sont un peu diff\u00e9rentes en ce qui concerne Cairoli qui pensait ne pas pouvoir rouler jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ce qu\u2019il apprenne qu\u2019il ne devait pas subir une op\u00e9ration. \u00ab\u00a0Il y a eu un moment o\u00f9 c\u2019\u00e9tait \u2018je vais rouler ou pas?\u2019 et il y avait alors 90% de chances que je doive subir une op\u00e9ration,\u00a0\u00bb avoue Cairoli.\u00a0\u00bbJe parlais avec la F\u00e9d\u00e9ration et je lui disais que je ne serais pas pr\u00eat pour le Motocross des Nations qui est une \u00e9preuve pour laquelle on doit \u00eatre \u00e0 100%. Je vais participer au dernier GP de la saison mais ce n\u2019est pas tr\u00e8s important; si je ne me sens pas bien, je ne roulerai pas la deuxi\u00e8me manche et c\u2019est tout mais au Motocross des Nations, je ne pourrais pas faire cela.
