J\u00e9r\u00e9my Van Horebeek s’est offert ce dimanche dans la sabli\u00e8re de Mont-Saint-Guibert un deuxi\u00e8me titre de champion de Belgique. L’officiel Yamaha remporte le titre apr\u00e8s une ultime victoire obtenue au terme d’une finale tr\u00e8s disput\u00e9e sur le spectaculaire circuit \u00ab\u00a0Shanks\u00a0\u00bb.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Le public belge avait r\u00e9pondu en nombre \u00e0 l’invitation du RMC Pierreux ce dimanche. Il faut dire que l’affiche \u00e9tait plut\u00f4t all\u00e9chante. Dans le cadre somptueux de la sabli\u00e8re de Mont-Saint-Guibert, l’\u00e9lite belge du motocross, J\u00e9r\u00e9my Van Horebeek et Ken De Dycker en t\u00eate, allaient se disputer au cours d’un ultime round le titre de champion de Belgique de motocross. Une finale qui a tenu toutes ses promesses. Spectacle et suspens ont rythm\u00e9 une superbe finale sur un circuit unanimement appr\u00e9ci\u00e9. \u00ab\u00a0Il est rare d’avoir des circuits aussi grands, m\u00eame en Grands-Prix\u00a0\u00bb, soulignait J\u00e9r\u00e9my Van Horebeek dimanche matin. \u00ab\u00a0C’est vraiment un parcours exceptionnel pour une finale de championnat de Belgique. Les conditions aujourd’hui sont excellentes. Clairement, ce circuit m\u00e9riterait d’accueillir une manche du championnat MXGP !\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

Enthousiaste, J\u00e9r\u00e9my Van Horebeek savait en arrivant \u00e0 Mont-Saint-Guibert que le titre lui tendait les bras. Arriv\u00e9 avec 16 points d’avance sur un Ken De Dycker de retour d’une longue convalescence, \u00ab\u00a0Jerre\u00a0\u00bb pouvait assurer dans les 3 manches du jour pour cueillir un deuxi\u00e8me titre cons\u00e9cutif en Belgique. Pour autant, les choses n’ont pas \u00e9t\u00e9 aussi faciles qu’elles auraient pu l’\u00eatre.<\/p>\n

Largement en t\u00eate de la premi\u00e8re manche, l’officiel Yamaha perdait le contr\u00f4le de sa 450 YZ-F \u00e0 l’appel d’un gros saut et se faisait tr\u00e8s peur en atterrissant hors de la piste. Plus de peur que de mal, heureusement. Le leader du classement provisoire repartait rapidement mais devait malgr\u00e9 tout laisser Ken De Dycker lui reprendre 5 points en s’imposant devant un Steve Ramon tr\u00e8s rapide. Dean Ferris terminait 4\u00e8me devant le premier pilote MX2, Brent Van Doninck, qui se rapprochait ainsi encore un peu plus d’un premier titre MX2 en pr\u00e9c\u00e9dant son co\u00e9quipier Graulus, 8\u00e8me.<\/p>\n

Dans la seconde manche, Van Horebeek prenait l\u00e0 aussi le commandement des op\u00e9rations et menait la manche de bout en bout sans toutefois parvenir \u00e0 se mettre hors de port\u00e9e de Steve Ramon, \u00e0 nouveau excellent 2\u00e8me. Le pilote Suzuki devan\u00e7ait l’Australien Dean Ferris et Jeffrey Dewulf. Mal parti, Ken De Dycker ne parvenait \u00e0 faire mieux que 5\u00e8me apr\u00e8s avoir pris du temps \u00e0 se d\u00e9faire de Brent Van Doninck, \u00e0 nouveau le plus rapide du pack MX2 et qui f\u00eatait avant m\u00eame la derni\u00e8re manche de la saison son titre de champion de Belgique.<\/p>\n

Damon Graulus cr\u00e9e la surprise<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Avec 20 points d’avance sur Ken De Dycker avant de prendre le dernier d\u00e9part de la saison, Van Horebeek pouvait se permettre d’assurer dans la 3\u00e8me manche. Le pilote Yamaha prenait pourtant l’initiative en menant le d\u00e9but de course devant le tr\u00e8s incisif Dean Ferris. L’Australien finissait par prendre le meilleur sur un \u00ab\u00a0Jerre\u00a0\u00bb forc\u00e9ment prudent. Mais le pilote Husqvarna voyait alors revenir derri\u00e8re lui la petite Yamaha 250 de Damon Graulus. Tr\u00e8s rapide sur un circuit aux orni\u00e8res et aux vagues de sable de plus en plus creus\u00e9es, Graulus maintenait la pression sur Ferris, tant et si bien que celui-ci partait \u00e0 la faute dans le dernier tour et laissait la victoire \u00e0 notre jeune compatriote. Pour la premi\u00e8re et unique fois de la saison, un pilote MX2 remportait une manche face aux t\u00e9nors de la cat\u00e9gorie MXGP. Une jolie performance !<\/p>\n

Finalement 3\u00e8me, Van Horebeek l\u00e8ve les bras au ciel en franchissant le drapeau \u00e0 damier. Le pilote Yamaha est heureux et cela se voit ! \u00ab\u00a0J’ai d\u00fb me battre jusqu’au bout pour ce titre et cela le rend certainement encore plus beau que celui remport\u00e9 l’an dernier\u00a0\u00bb, nous confiait-il. \u00ab\u00a0J’ai connu une saison difficile cette ann\u00e9e. Alors, pouvoir f\u00eater aujourd’hui un deuxi\u00e8me titre national, c’est important pour moi. C’est excellent pour le moral. J’ai regagn\u00e9 en confiance ces derni\u00e8res semaines et j’esp\u00e8re pouvoir encore signer de bons r\u00e9sultats dans les GP qui arrivent au Mexique et aux USA ainsi qu’au Motocross des Nations.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n
