Le 19\u00e8me Honville Cross Country a \u00e9t\u00e9 remport\u00e9 ce dimanche par Thierry Klutz et de J\u00e9r\u00f4me Martiny au terme de 3 heures 30 de course domin\u00e9es par le redoutable duo. C’est le 6\u00e8me succ\u00e8s cons\u00e9cutif \u00e0 Honville pour les deux hommes ! Seul l’\u00e9quipage form\u00e9 par les rapides Andrew Leloup et Nick Triest est parvenu \u00e0 maintenir le suspens en restant \u00e0 un peu plus d’une minute trente des vainqueurs. Eric Delannoy et Fabrice Debroux montent sur la 3\u00e8me marche du podium.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Des conditions difficiles attendaient les concurrents du 19\u00e8me Honville Cross Country ce dimanche. La m\u00e9t\u00e9o et le travail effectu\u00e9 sur certaines parties du circuit avaient rendu le parcours particuli\u00e8rement pi\u00e9geux et exigeant. Des conditions qui ont pouss\u00e9 la direction de course \u00e0 r\u00e9duire exceptionnellement la dur\u00e9e de l’\u00e9preuve \u00e0 3 heures 30 en lieu et place des 4 heures initialement pr\u00e9vues.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0C’\u00e9tait du jamais vu \u00e0 Honville ce dimanche !\u00a0\u00bb s’\u00e9tonne Thierry Klutz. \u00ab\u00a0Des trous cassants dans les longues lignes droite rapides entre les arbres, des trous profonds dans les descendes et certains freinages mais surtout de longues et profondes orni\u00e8res remplies de racines dans les parties sinueuses.\u00a0Une \u00e9volution du circuit que, personnellement, je n’aurais jamais imagin\u00e9e.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

Des conditions difficiles pour le 19\u00e8me Honville Cross Country…<\/p><\/div>\n

Des conditions qui poussaient les favoris \u00e0 affiner leur strat\u00e9gie: \u00ab\u00a0Au vu du nombre important d’\u00e9quipages inscrits et de la physionomie du parcours, nous avons tr\u00e8s vite compris que l’important cette ann\u00e9e serait de ne pas se bloquer dans les bouchons qui allaient in\u00e9vitablement se cr\u00e9er et de ne pas se faire pi\u00e9ger dans le d\u00e9passement des pilotes les moins rapides\u00a0\u00bb, poursuit Thierry Klutz.<\/p>\n

Des circonstances dans lesquelles l’exp\u00e9rience permet souvent de faire la diff\u00e9rence et dans lesquelles le duo Klutz\/Martiny n’a finalement \u00e9t\u00e9 inqui\u00e9t\u00e9 que par Triest et Leloup. Apr\u00e8s un d\u00e9part en t\u00eate de Martiny, Triest profitait de l’arriv\u00e9e dans les doubl\u00e9s, d\u00e8s le 3\u00e8me tour, pour prendre la t\u00eate, avant que Martiny ne r\u00e9plique un peu plus tard. Dans son premier relai, Klutz alignera les tours rapides pour porter l’avantage de son \u00e9quipage \u00e0 plus de 2 minutes et 40 secondes. De quoi permettre au duo de g\u00e9rer la fin de course en \u00e9vitant les nombreux pi\u00e8ges, m\u00eame si c’est seulement avec 33 secondes d’avantage que s’\u00e9lance Klutzy pour dernier relai. Mais le vainqueur de la Chinelle est imp\u00e9rial sur le trac\u00e9 de Honville et reprend une minute \u00e0 Leloup\/Triest pour franchir la ligne d’arriv\u00e9e avec plus d’une minute trente d’avance.<\/p>\n

Le 3\u00e8me \u00e9quipage Delannoy\/Debroux termine \u00e0 pr\u00e8s de 9 minutes tandis que les duos Lillo\/Lacasse et Monfort\/Bailleux compl\u00e8tent le top-5. Le Bastognard Boris Mazzoni termine premier pilote \u00ab\u00a0solo\u00a0\u00bb \u00e0 une excellente 16\u00e8me position.<\/p>\n

Une fois de plus, Thierry Klutz et J\u00e9r\u00f4me Martiny confirment leur brevet d’invincibilit\u00e9 \u00e0 Honville. C’est le 6\u00e8me succ\u00e8s cons\u00e9cutif des 2 hommes dans l’\u00e9preuve de cross-country la plus attendue de la saison.<\/p>\n
