La saison 2015 a vu Honda et Gasjer remporter chacun pour la premi\u00e8re fois le titre mondial en MX2. La d\u00e9cision qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 prise par Honda de laisser rouler le pilote slov\u00e8ne en MXGP l\u2019an prochain a cr\u00e9\u00e9 la surprise dans la mesure o\u00f9 les chances pour le manufacturier japonais de pouvoir renouveler son titre mondial en MX2 sont ainsi amoindries.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Au d\u00e9part, on avait effectivement l\u2019intention de faire rouler Tim (Gasjer) en MX2 mais cela a chang\u00e9 l\u00e9g\u00e8rement apr\u00e8s qu\u2019il ait remport\u00e9 le championnat,\u00a0\u00bb explique Roger Harvey, HRC MX General Manager, lors d’un entretien exclusif. \u00a0\u00bb La d\u00e9cision que nous avons prise l\u2019a \u00e9t\u00e9 en accord avec la famille de Tim, le HRC ainsi que le team. Je pense que si Tim n\u2019avait pas remport\u00e9 le titre, il aurait encore roul\u00e9 en MX2 mais nous sommes sereins avec le fait qu\u2019il va monter en MXGP et il disposera de tout le mat\u00e9riel dont il a besoin.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

Interrog\u00e9 sur la motivation qui a fait en sorte qu\u2019un champion du monde – qui b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie d\u2019un contrat portant sur plusieurs ann\u00e9es – change de cat\u00e9gorie et amenuise tous les efforts engag\u00e9s par le team en MX2, Harvey a r\u00e9pondu sans d\u00e9tour. \u00ab\u00a0Il y avait en fait plusieurs raisons qui nous ont amen\u00e9s \u00e0 prendre cette d\u00e9cision,\u00a0\u00bb r\u00e9v\u00e8le le Britannique.\u00a0\u00ab\u00a0Tim est plus \u00e0 l\u2019aise sur la 450 et physiquement, il a d\u00e9sormais un gabarit tel qu\u2019il n\u2019aurait plus \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019aise sur la 250. Sur ce plan, la CRF450RW ne pourra que lui \u00eatre profitable et il est v\u00e9ritablement un tout autre pilote sur cette moto. Il voulait aussi changer de cat\u00e9gorie et il avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 beaucoup roul\u00e9 sur la 450 lors de ces deux-trois derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es. Nous rentrons d\u2019avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 effectuer une s\u00e9rie de tests et je peux vous dire qu\u2019un large sourire barrait son visage chaque fois qu\u2019il descendait de la moto.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Comme la d\u00e9cision de faire rouler Tim en MXGP a \u00e9t\u00e9 prise tardivement, c\u2019est vrai que nous n\u2019aurons que Jorge Zaragoza en MX2,\u00a0\u00bb poursuit Harvey. \u00ab\u00a0Ceci pourrait \u00eatre la situation en 2016 mais rien ne dit que dans un futur proche nous ne pourrons pas avoir un autre candidat pour le titre. Le MXGP est la cat\u00e9gorie reine – tout comme le MotoGP en vitesse pure – vers laquelle tous les regards des japonais sont dirig\u00e9s et vers laquelle ils veulent placer tous leurs efforts. Le MX2 est cependant important pour nous afin de faire percer de nouveaux pilotes, comme cela a \u00e9t\u00e9 le cas pour Tim. Ceci dit, c\u2019est vrai que nous sommes un peu pris au d\u00e9pourvu pour 2016.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

Harvey confirme \u00e9galement \u00e9galement que Gajser restera dans le team Gariboldi et qu\u2019il recevra le m\u00eame soutien que Gautier Paulin et Evgeny Bobryshev. Harvey: \u00ab\u00a0C\u2019est la politique du HRC de traiter tous ses pilotes de la m\u00eame mani\u00e8re et de leur donner toutes les opportunit\u00e9s qu\u2019ils sont en droit d\u2019attendre de notre part.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

Certains ont avanc\u00e9 que le d\u00e9sir de Gasjer de monter en MXGP \u00e9tait guid\u00e9 par l\u2019envie qu\u2019il avait de rouler dans le championnat AMA. Il avait \u00e9t\u00e9 dit par ailleurs que le Slov\u00e8ne participerait \u00e0 la premi\u00e8re \u00e9preuve du championnat de SX AMA \u00e0 Anaheim en janvier mais ce projet a \u00e9t\u00e9 mis au frigo\u2026 pour le moment. \u00ab\u00a0C\u2019est vrai que Tim a l\u2019ambition de participer au championnat AMA,\u00a0\u00bb confirme Harvey. \u00ab\u00a0Il meure d\u2019envie de voir son nom dans le programme \u00e0 Anaheim! C\u2019est simplement une question de planning mais c\u2019est clair que si c\u2019est faisable, il b\u00e9n\u00e9ficierait alors de notre soutien total. Pour ma part, je pense que Tim va rouler encore deux ans en MXGP mais tout reste possible.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n
