Christophe Pourcel, \u00e2g\u00e9 aujourd\u2019hui de 27 ans, semble \u00eatre partant pour ce qui sera une de ses campagnes les plus importantes dans sa carri\u00e8re jusqu\u2019ici plut\u00f4t chahut\u00e9e. Le pilote Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Racing a remport\u00e9 r\u00e9cemment la deuxi\u00e8me soir\u00e9e du Supercross de Paris-Lille et il s\u2019appr\u00eate \u00e0 mener sa FC450 \u00e0 l\u2019assaut du championnat Lucas Oil AMA Pro National 450MX.<\/p>\n

L\u2019ancien champion du monde MX2 et double champion AMA 250SX C\u00f4te Est, qui habite en Floride, se trouve confront\u00e9 \u00e0 la question de savoir s\u2019il pourra tenir le rythme effr\u00e9n\u00e9 d\u2019un championnat aussi relev\u00e9 que le championnat am\u00e9ricain qui d\u00e9bute le 9 janvier \u00e0 Anaheim pour prendre fin \u00e0 Las Vegas en mai. \u00ab\u00a0Il me faudra deux ou trois courses pour m\u2019habituer aux circuits et \u00e0 mes adversaires,\u00a0\u00bb a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Pourcel \u00e0 Lille. \u00ab\u00a0Je sais que pour les cinq premiers SX, il y aura pas mal de pilotes rapides mais le championnat compte dix-sept \u00e9preuves et cela n\u2019est pas rien. Il faut que nous restions calmes.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

Christophe Pourcel s’est engag\u00e9 dans un championnat exigeant, il le sait<\/p><\/div>\n

Apr\u00e8s diverses exp\u00e9riences que ce soit avec KTM, avec son propre team pour Kawasaki, avec Yamaha dont notamment le team Star Racing Yamaha en 2014, Pourcel a trouv\u00e9 refuge chez Husqvarna pour les deux prochaines saisons. Le Fran\u00e7ais insiste sur le fait que la FC450 et les gens qui l\u2019entourent d\u00e9sormais dans les ateliers de l\u2019usine situ\u00e9s \u00e0 Murrieta, en Californie, sont les ingr\u00e9dients dont il a besoin pour briller \u00e0 nouveau. \u00ab\u00a0La moto convient parfaitement \u00e0 mon style de pilotage. Elle doit \u00eatre tr\u00e8s douce et presque parfaite afin que je puisse rouler comme je le fais,\u00a0\u00bb explique Christophe. \u00ab\u00a0Je ne suis pas agressif mais je peux rouler partout \u00e0 un bon rythme. Je ne donne pas l\u2019impression d\u2019\u00eatre rapide mais je le suis. Husky me fait confiance; nous avons pas mal discut\u00e9 et et ils sont tr\u00e8s heureux. Nous allons travailler deux ans ensemble mais nous pourrons \u00e9ventuellement envisager de nous tourner vers l\u2019enduro ou une autre discipline par la suite. Bobby Hewitt (le team manager) me supporte \u00e0 fond et je lui fais enti\u00e8re confiance, ce qui n\u2019est pas fr\u00e9quent chez moi. Parfois, tu peux conna\u00eetre un mauvais week-end mais ici, le team est toujours \u00e0 100% derri\u00e8re toi. C\u2019est une attitude qui est nouvelle pour moi. Je suis maintenant \u00e2g\u00e9 de 27 ans et j\u2019essaye de ne plus retenir que le bon c\u00f4t\u00e9 des choses: nous avons beaucoup de chance d\u2019avoir \u00e0 notre disposition une moto gratuite, un team, des m\u00e9caniciens et tout le reste. Quand tu n\u2019as rien de tout \u00e7a, alors oui, c\u2019est vraiment cher! \u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

Pourcel a admis qu\u2019il pens\u00e9 un moment \u00e0 revenir en MXGP dans le courant de l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9, juste avant de conclure un accord avec Husqvarna. \u00ab\u00a0J\u2019\u00e9tais ouvert \u00e0 pas de solutions et pour moi, c\u2019\u00e9tait fifty-fifty. Je ne voulais surtout pas me fermer toutes les portes aux Etats-Unis. Je suis conscient d\u2019avoir commis pas mal d\u2019erreurs dans le pass\u00e9, notamment lorsque j\u2019attendais que Kawa me fasse une proposition. Roger De coster m\u2019avait pourtant fait une offre pour que j\u2019aille rouler chez Suzuki mais je voulais rester chez Kawa parce que la moto \u00e9tait fantastique. J\u2019ai g\u00e2ch\u00e9 toutes ces opportunit\u00e9s mais cette fois, je ne voulais fermer aucune piste et j\u2019ai maintenant un manufacturier qui me fait confiance. J\u2019ai toujours pens\u00e9 que le MXGP \u00e9tait bon pour moi parce qu\u2019il ne comportait que dix-sept ou dix-huit \u00e9preuves mais je crois que le Supercross m\u2019ira aussi tr\u00e8s bien.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n
