A Buchanan, en ce week-end de f\u00eate nationale aux Etats-Unis, Josh Grant a remport\u00e9 la sixi\u00e8me manche du championnat outdoor en cat\u00e9gorie \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcmotocross’. On a assist\u00e9 par la m\u00eame occasion au retour en forme de Chad Reed apr\u00e8s sa pauvre prestation du week-end dernier. En ce qui concerne, les pilotes d’usine Honda, Ivan Tedesco et Andrew Short, ceux-ci ont montr\u00e9 qu’il faudrait encore compter avec eux.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Andrew Short a men\u00e9 la majeure partie de la premi\u00e8re manche, suivi comme son ombre par Chad Reed qui a fini par le d\u00e9passer au onzi\u00e8me tour pour s’envoler vers la victoire. Short devait par la suite commettre une erreur alors qu’il ne restait plus que deux tours et c’est Grant qui en a profit\u00e9 pour s’emparer de la seconde place et m\u00eame taquiner Reed pour l’octroi de la premi\u00e8re.<\/p>\n

Short a fini par sauvegarder sa troisi\u00e8me place mais il terminait tout de m\u00eame à douze secondes des deux premiers. Ivan Tedesco avait quant à lui pris le meilleur sur Ricky Dietrich lors du troisi\u00e8me tour pour s’emparer de la quatri\u00e8me place mais il perdait ensuite sa position au profit du N\u00e9o-Z\u00e9landais Cody Cooper au douzi\u00e8me tour. Ce m\u00eame Cooper commettait ensuite une erreur deux tours avant la fin, ce qui \u00e9tait tout profit pour Tedesco et Dietrich qui finissaient respectivement quatri\u00e8me et cinqui\u00e8me. On avait entretemps not\u00e9 les abandons de Thomas Hahn, Jason Lawrence et de Josh Hill .<\/p>\n

C’est en seconde manche que Grant allait assurer sa premi\u00e8re victoire en AMA outdoor apr\u00e8s avoir pris le meilleur sur Ivan Tedesco au cinqui\u00e8me tour et creus\u00e9 imm\u00e9diatement un trou de cinq secondes sur son poursuivant. Tedesco allait d’ailleurs se retrouver tr\u00e8s vite sous la menace de Reed qui avait pass\u00e9 Short lors du huiti\u00e8me tour. Reed n’allait pas en rester là puisqu’il finissait par passer Tedesco dans le dernier tour. La man\u00c5\u201cuvre allait se r\u00e9v\u00e9ler \u00e9pique puis que l’\u00e9cart entre les deux pilotes \u00e9tait de cinq centi\u00e8mes de seconde sur la ligne d’arriv\u00e9e! Derri\u00e8re les premiers, il fallait attendre vingt-cinq secondes pour voir arriver Andrew Short, quatri\u00e8me, qui pr\u00e9c\u00e9dait lui-m\u00eame Cody Cooper de dix secondes. Ricky Dietrich, Ryan Villopoto, Michael Byrne, Nicholas Wey, Tyler Bowers et Jason Lawrence compl\u00e9taient le top-dix .<\/p>\n

Jake Weimer le plus r\u00e9gulier en MX Lites<\/strong> <\/p>\n

En Motocross Lites, c’est le pilote Kawa, Jake Weimer, qui a remport\u00e9 le classement final gr\u00e0\u00a2ce à sa r\u00e9gularit\u00e9. En effet, il n’a remport\u00e9 aucune victoire de manche. Les premi\u00e8re et seconde manches ont en effet \u00e9t\u00e9 remport\u00e9es respectivement par Ryan Dungey et Christophe Pourcel. Ceux-ci ne sont pas parvenus à \u00eatre r\u00e9guliers lors de leur deux manches. En effet, Dungey et Pourcel ont chacun termin\u00e9 huiti\u00e8me dans la manche qu’ils n’ont pas remport\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

En premi\u00e8re manche, c’est Weimer qui avait men\u00e9 les deux premiers tours devant Dungey. Ce dernier devait le d\u00e9passer pour ne plus quitter la t\u00eate jusqu’au drapeau à damiers. Pourtant, les deux pilotes sont rest\u00e9s au coude à coude la majorit\u00e9 de la course mais Dungey mettait les gaz sur la fin et terminait avec trois secondes d’avance sur Weimer qui pr\u00e9c\u00e9dait quant à lui Brett Metcalfe et Justin Barcia. Tommy Searle et Tyla Rattray terminaient ensuite. Quant à Christophe Pourcel il avait connu un d\u00e9part d\u00e9sastreux puisqu’il avait boucl\u00e9 le premier tour en vingt-quatri\u00e8me position. Il finissait toutefois huiti\u00e8me, derri\u00e8re Kyle Cunningham, au terme d’une belle remont\u00e9e. Will Hahn et Matt Lemoine compl\u00e9taient le top-dix de cette premi\u00e8re manche.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Pourcel allait prendre sa revanche en seconde manche. C’est en effet un duo compos\u00e9 de Pourcel et de Searle qui, apr\u00e8s avoir d\u00e9pass\u00e9 Martin Davalos dans le cinqui\u00e8me tour, allait mener toute la course. Derri\u00e8re eux, Davalos perdait sans cesse du terrain et il finissait par se faire d\u00e9passer par Metcalfe et Weimer au huiti\u00e8me tour. Metcalfe terminait troisi\u00e8me avec dix secondes d’avance sur Weimer tandis que Davalos \u00e9tait parvenu à conserver sa cinqui\u00e8me place devant Max Anstie. Justin Barcia, Ryan Dungey, Blake Wharton et Broc cl\u00f4turaient le top-dix.<\/p>\n
