\u00ab\u00a0En 30 ans, on a d\u00e9jà eu des \u00e9ditions difficiles mais je crois que celle-ci restera comme l’une des plus \u00e9prouvantes.\u00a0\u00bb Avant de laisser place au podium final de cette 30\u00e8me Chinelle, Jo\u00ebl Robert tire un rapide bilan du week-end. Un week-end chaud et ensoleill\u00e9 qui a mis les hommes et les machines à rude \u00e9preuve mais qui a aussi attir\u00e9 la toute grande foule sur l’esplanade de Franchimont le samedi soir. La Police parle de plus de 35 000 personnes… \u00ab\u00a0On est habitu\u00e9 à avoir beaucoup de monde ici le samedi soir mais je crois que cette ann\u00e9e, nous avons battu tous les records! Sans doute les gens ont-ils voulu profiter de la derni\u00e8re \u00e9dition…\u00a0\u00bb, poursuit le sextuple champion du monde de motocross, qui ne peut s’emp\u00eacher de rappeler qu’il entend bien d\u00e9sormais passer le relais.<\/p>\n

Mais place au podium de cette Chinelle 2009… Pour la 3\u00e8me fois en 30 ans, c’est un \u00e9quipage GasGas qui y monte sur la plus haute marche. D\u00e9jà vainqueurs l’an dernier, Patrick Caps et Kevin Fors, associ\u00e9s cette fois à l’enduriste Kevin Gauniaux, se sont assur\u00e9s d’un second succ\u00e8s en faisant preuve à nouveau de beaucoup de ma\u00eetrise. Dans le sillage de la BMW de Smets\/Goblet\/Delporte dans les 2 premi\u00e8res heures de course, le trio li\u00e9geois profitait des ennuis m\u00e9caniques de la machine allemande pour s’emparer du commandement de la course d\u00e8s la 3\u00e8me heure. Ils ne le quitteront plus.<\/p>\n

Derri\u00e8re eux, c’est l’\u00e9quipage Potisek\/Soyeurt\/Maquet qui, apr\u00e8s un d\u00e9part prudent, est revenu se positionner en seconde position à moins de 2 minutes. En troisi\u00e8me position, on retrouve la Kawasaki d’Eric Hubin, laquelle pr\u00e9c\u00e8de la KTM de Neefs\/Denil\/Delannoy et la Husaberg de Despontin\/Vanderheyden\/Cremer.<\/p>\n

\nLa GasGas s\u00e2\u20ac\u2122envole<\/strong> <\/p>\n

De 1 minute et 55 secondes, l\u00e2\u20ac\u2122avantage de la GasGas de t\u00eate sera port\u00e9 à pr\u00e8s de 7 minutes au terme de la premi\u00e8re manche de jour. Alors que la Kawasaki de Hubin\/Deudon\/Vanhoenacker jette l\u00e2\u20ac\u2122\u00e9ponge en tout debut de manche, moteur cass\u00e9 à cause d\u00e2\u20ac\u2122un radiateur endommag\u00e9 en fin de nuit, c\u00e2\u20ac\u2122est cette fois la Husaberg de Despontin qui offre le plus de r\u00e9sistance. En terminant à la seconde place de cette 2\u00e8me tranche avec plus de 30 secondes d\u00e2\u20ac\u2122avance sur la Honda de Potisek, la Husaberg passe de la 5\u00e8me à la 3\u00e8me place au classement cumul\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Avant que le dernier d\u00e9part ne soit donn\u00e9, alors que la temp\u00e9rature estivale et la poussi\u00e8re particuli\u00e8rement dense qui flotte dans l’air de Franchimont laissent pr\u00e9sager d’un dernier sprint de 3 heures tr\u00e8s \u00e9prouvant, on voit mal qui pourrait, sauf chute ou casse m\u00e9canique, venir d\u00e9loger la GasGas n\u00b095 de la premi\u00e8re place.<\/p>\n

Potisek et ses 2 acolytes ont beau sortir la grosse attaque et s’assurer de la seconde place devant l’\u00e9quipage Husaberg en reprenant pas moins de 5 minutes à la machine de t\u00eate, le trio GasGas g\u00e8re sa course de main de ma\u00eetre. Kevin Gauniaux franchit donc la ligne d’arriv\u00e9e en vainqueur, \u00e9puis\u00e9 mais particuli\u00e8rement heureux d’inscrire son nom au palmar\u00e8s de le Chinelle pour la premi\u00e8re fois. Caps et Fors, quant à eux, savourent un second succ\u00e8s qui fait d\u00e9jà d’eux les hommes à battre de la 31\u00e8me \u00e9dition…<\/p>\n
